AS many of you guys are aware, Cedar Point's opening day was this past weekend and of course I went to it. I left about 5am to head up there.

It was a cold, windy day. Brr.

And to top it off, it must have been "Intamin's Don't Work Today".

Top Thrill kept rolling back all day. Millennium Force kept running empty trains. Wicked Twister wasn't functioning right. The only Intamin running right was Maverick.

But anywho, here's a few pics I took that I'd like to show you guys.

Power Tower: Space Launch, which is amazing!!

Wicked Twister: Very photogenic!

Awesome photos.. makes me miss the place already. Hopefully you had a good time even with MF and TTD having issues all day.

Did you get any rides on Magnum? It was running trimless all day.. made for some stellar night rides.

People also do not realize that the weather up by the Great Lakes is harsher than it is down here, especially in the winter months. Cedar Point's coasters cease all operations and take a beating from Lake Erie weather for 6 months while their trains are in storage. Trying to fire those bad boys up on opening day is much like leaving a car outside in the cold for 6 months, and then starting it.. do you really expect it to run like a dream?
