Hey guys, i was just thinking about some of the places where pki could maybe put in a new ride. I was thinking behind FOF where the trail of horrors is during fearfest. Or maybe they could put a ride back just a little behind tomb raider. Where do you guys think a good place for a new ride would be?

I know this sounds a little strange but I think that PKI should make the International Street longer and have it go all the way under The Racer and sort of put a fork in it to go around FoF and then add on a couple of new sections of the park. Though this does sound a little strange but it would be better thank just adding another secton of the park onto a present secton. and guest could find the new section easier because they would just have to stay on International Street. And like they used to say" All roads lead to Rome" maybe it could be " All roads lead to the Effil Tower"......DON'T QUOTE ME ON THAT!!!! LOL.. anyway, just an idea, so what do you think?

How aboyut on any part of the 100+ acres they own that is currently forrest. And the Paramount Story. tongue.gif

I agree there.. well, except for the Paramount Story. I cut through there to get to my shop. tongue.gif That and I don't think there would be very much room for anything other than a really cramped wild mouse.

As for that extra space behind the park: If they own it, they should use it! You can only put so many things in one area of the park. You'd have to expand eventually.

This whole post is kinda like the joke, where does an 800 pound Gorilla sit? Anywhere he wants. The same should apply to the park, and they should be able put a new ride or better yet rides, anywhere in the park that they think is good. I am sure that by this point in time PKI has figured out what places are good for building new rides in. If they haven't figured this out yet and are just guessing, then they are really getting lucky with their guesses!

I completely agree with fyrfyter on this. What's the point people? We all know where a ride would fit nicely and such, but if you really honestly care, then go and work for PKI's planning department. I am sure there are more than 10 posts exactly like this one, so why are we constantly discussing things that we have not choice in the matter. It's like slaves discussing when they should be freed. I think we should all find better things to talk about, especially since the changes are a year away. How about funny things at the park, or weather forcasts. Even complaining Gold Pass members can be more exciting. Go play RCT if you need to customize your Kings Island.

^^That's not compleatly true. Some high PKI people read these fan sites. And with the size of PKIUnlimited.com. We're sure that they are here. Its also a good plase to get feedback. Don't you think that some PKI Reserch people look at the trip reports section? I once wrote about how dirty Flight of Fear was. And I went yesterday and it was cleened up. No I don't belive that my little story cleened it up. But it could of had some part of it.

Ok...I know that everyone is a bit tired of this topic but here are a few of my ideas. In examining some of the old park maps and photos from the early 80's and 90's I have noticed that yes the park has continued to expand in the public's eye with new rides and attractions but really it seems as if the park has actually decreased a bit in size. By that i mean with the extraction of the wild animal habitat. Yes, SOB and perhaps TG occupy a good chunk of that land but it still seams as if extra land is still available back there. So if my hypothesis is true then it is nothing short of genious on the part of PKI's planning team by continuously updating the park while increasing the amt of available acerage for perhaps a potential blockbuster expansion. in addition to the undelveloped acerage around the park they have also freed up some land within the park which I feel has kind of created a few "dead spots" within the park, as far as traffic. One such place is in Coney mall next to the speed pitch game where the old Flight Navigator once stood. Sometimes, especially on slow days, i feel as if I'm the only one walking within that general vicinity compared to the other side of the mall. There is a trampoline attraction in place of FN, but perhaps by adding a new flat ride it might help to draw more people to the side of the mall. It could be a possiblity that a small coaster, such as a wild mouse could be added if some of the surrounding games and attractions were taken out. And second is the area behind the open air theater that was once the home to a dolphin show. This area is adjacent to a pathway that leads from international to The Beast. Granted that this area is a nice change of pace from the rest of the park , but what if they could once again utlilize the lake and the adjacent land to perhaps have another live show...maybe even an action show based upon a Paramont movie. just a few of my thoughts

You're right about the park area and vicinity. The only places that have grown at all pretty much since Paramounts bought the place is Action Zone and Water Works. I think that is kinda lame if you ask me. Poor Coney Mall looks all run down while AZ is all clean and spiffy. Poor Coney Mall... sad.gif

The problem with the woods behind PKI is that its mostly hills. It would be very difficult to put a midway in these hills. If they did, the midway itself would cost a lot more than just pouting concrete in the ground.

Instead of buildng an original Midway, PKI could get creative and design some time of midway that looks like a Pier. This would alleviate the problem with getting level land, and it would be pretty neat, if they did everything to it, since the ocean is way far away from Cincy. Pier, lighting, some water features, concrete support columns with wooden decking and rails. I think that would be really neat, and give the park some flair, since we are in an area of no coastlines.
