corn4ahead
My vote is for a dueling mega lite or maverick-esk type of ride
TopThrill
I vote for a new B&M Invert!!
ZukoGirl
I'm with TopThrill. Not to say I'm bored with the other inversion coasters. I just think it would be an great addition to the park's collection.
BavarianBeatle
I once had a dream of a Giga that went over the top of the Eiffel Tower, then had its first drop into the fountains, getting the riders wet, then an overbanked turn above the park entrance. Weird dream.....LOL!! Then, on my own, I thought of a cable lift like MF that took the riders to a virtually level section of track that had a launch that would create ejector air as you went into about a 310 foot drop..... Now I'm weird.LOL!
mtl2013
I think KI should definately get an intamin lift coaster, but a b&m invert would be pretty sweet!!
UnrealNightmare
Ok so I was going to save my 1000th post for my Florida trip report but I decided to post it here. BavarianBeatle as soon as I read your post I thought of this. name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350"> And to add my own two cents to this topic. I'd rather not get an Intamin coaster at KI. I'd also rather see a B&M invert go in. If you want it to be innovative how bought it be a B&M hyper invert? Just my opinion. TopThrill
I'm almost pretty sure that Alpengiest at BGW is the tallest full circuit Inverted coaster, at 195', and the longest at 3828'. KI could break that.

The thought of a B&M invert over 200 feet tall has crossed my mind as well... It would be difficult to avoid hurting riders' knees and quad muscles though, IMO.... UnrealNightmare
Too bad KI doesn't have any mountains. Besides Diamondbacks. A 220ft drop down a mountain on an invert would be nuts. Then you could use the terrain for the first half of the ride then throw the inversions in the second half.

KIBeast
^ I agree about Invertigo and RR but disagree about Firehawk. Firehawk is definitely a step above the Supermen: Ultimate Flights (but WAY below Tatsu) from a total ride experience standpoint, IMO, minus the pretzel loops on B&M flyers. Having said that, I'd trade FH for a good B&M invert every day and twice on Sunday. I know it's been mentioned in other places but it's interesting to see the direction CF and Six Flags are going, respectively. Outside of Magic Mountain's new coaster this year (and the one slated for next) Six Flags isn't doing much in the "bigger" coaster/ride department these days, while CF is ramping up with the Behemoth/Diamondback/KD's giga/Carowinds rumored B&M hyper combo. I'm actually more curious to see "when" CF decides to add another big attraction to the parks who recently either received new attractions or are getting them soon. Not to say that you are incorrect, but I haven't heard any confirmation that Kings Dominion is getting a gigacoaster. If you know something, please explain. Truly interested. Technically you're absolutely correct. KD has NOT announced anything official. However, I'm also going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you haven't been following KD's "rumored" giga coaster construction. There are, however, pictures here and here to check out as a starting point. There are: - Track pieces on site - Packing slips clearly showing this is an Intamin shipment with the words "giga coaster" on them Yes, no official confirmation has been given, but I'm not sure how much more evidence you may need if these photos don't convince you. XjoshhyX
I would liek a Top Thrill type coaster, maybe leaning more toward Kingda Ka though.

CincyMan98
Yeah, I would love to have a ride like Sheikra from Busch Gardens Tampa or maybe a Maverick kind of ride. I still don't get why Kings Island won't use up their acres, I mean, I think they have at aleast 100 acres left of their park.
firehawkboy
^ Yeah that's what I have been wanting at KI for years. A nice Strata coaster right behind Invertigo, and heading towards GWL. Not the best drawing, but you catch my drift?

And most of the land they can use is rough. But a terrain coaster would be nice!
HTCO
Yesterday I was on Drop Tower, and I was facing SOB. And I noticed there would be A TON of room if SOB were to be destroyed.

TheCryptRaider
I fear the worst for the future of that ride. Now watch. I will get bashed. I totally agree with this and your first post. There is SO much land back there, and if you include some of the old Lion Country land, that could be a whole new area! I think a nice B&M Invert could fit back there easily. skaterboy22101
Yesterday I was on Drop Tower, and I was facing SOB. And I noticed there would be A TON of room if SOB were to be destroyed. BUT, SoB won't be destroyed. CF doesn't take rides out unless they have to. Rather, they move 'em.
HTCO
Even if the Ohio Department of Agriculture deems it unsafe? Then they will just move it some where else? No.
74Gibson
EDIT: Sorry for the messed up quote and my laziness in fixing it. "Not to say that you are incorrect, but I haven't heard any confirmation that Kings Dominion is getting a gigacoaster. If you know something, please explain. Truly interested." Giga is written all over the shipping labels... You can search throught this thread to find pics http://www.kdfansite.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=441. No way on the strata coaster. Kinzel has said TTD was the worst business decision ever made for CP. Look at what CF has built since. Look for more hyoers and gigas I say. I also say hell yeah!!!!!!!!!!!! BUT, SoB won't be destroyed. CF doesn't take rides out unless they have to. Rather, they move 'em. HA. And you know this how? And CF will take out rides, even if they don't have to. They are just like every other amusement park owner in that sense. Does Geauga Lake ring a bell? Also, "Moving them" is called Ride Rotation, something popular in the Paramount years where they would take good rides, move them to another park, and market them as a new ride. Cedar Fair has suggested this idea several times, but has not tried it yet to my knowledge, of course not counting Geauga Lake. And Son of Beast would NOT be a ride rotation candidate. You move rides so you can draw people in at another park, not so you can rid the first park of it.
DiamondbackLover
A ride like TTD would be a huge investment. If KI were to get rid of SOB I would like a classic woodie like Voyage, or something by The Gravity Group.

skaterboy22101
A $0.92 reduction in the per-unit rate, along with scheduled debt repayments and interest savings on the lower debt balance, will allow the Company to reduce its debt by approximately $200 million over the next three fiscal years. This distribution reduction is a first step in Cedar Fair’s strategy to reduce debt and strengthen its balance sheet. http://www.cedarfair.com/ir/press_releases...mp;story_id=
