Charlie Brown Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 While at the park yesterday, some old guy with no teeth was behind me in the line of FoF. He asked me where outer limits was. I told he there was no such ride, and he argued with me. He siad "Well it was here 26 years ago." I told him I never heard of it. Then he asked is this Firehawk. I said no. He asked where it was, and I pointed to the sign. He said good, I'm in the right place. Then I told him EXACTLY WHERE HE WAS, and actually took him to the line, loosing my placefor FoF. He didn't even thank me UGH!!!!! Quote

Charlie Brown Posted July 22, 2009 Author Posted July 22, 2009 Is that a trick question? No. But so there was no Outer limits, or was that Fof's old name? Quote
The Interpreter Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 Flight of Fear was called Outer Limits: Flight of Fear until the park did not renew the licensing. Terpy, suddenly feeling very old Quote

The Interpreter Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 It was a TV show... And old Terp is old but not that old. He was, after all, at opening day at Kings Island, and was at the time older than most of the posters on this board. Quote

Dvo Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 I'm pretty sure The Outer Limits is a really old tv show... similar to the old Twilight Zone shows. But yes, FoF used to be The Outer Limits: Flight of Fear. Quote

The Interpreter Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 I have never, ever said that being old is a bad thing. What is, is. Quote

Touchdown Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 It is both an old TV show and a new TV show (there was a remake in the 90s.) Here is the 90s intro: I think you will find the voice very familiar to this (starts at 31 sec mark): Quote
Fear the Four Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 I just watched a part of a episode from Outer limits. It's kind of weird and freaky. Quote

Thrill_Biscuit Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 I remember watching the old Outer Limits reruns on TV in the 70's. I did not adjust my set. -Tb, who's too young to be old and too old to be young. Quote
MadameLeota Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 I'm 44. I still want to call the ride Outer Limits. And I can never remember the new name for Face Off, but I do know it's my least fave ride in the entire park. Quote
LongliveKingsCobra Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 lol I like your picture... and you added an s to Halloween Haunt. I called it Outer Limmits once, and my freinds were like huh? Quote

DaveStroem Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 How old is terpy anyway? I think he's like 50. Oh that is OLD, says this 43 year old kid. Quote
KIfan1980 Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 Regarding Terpy's age, this was posted in the following forum http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?...ic=17751&hl= Several months before I was born, my mother rode a wooden roller coaster repeatedly. It was the 1950's, such things were not frowned on back then. Quote
The Interpreter Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 And as I have said before, I was at Kings Island's opening day, and at the time I was older than most of the posters here are. That's enough about old Terpy! Terpy, who hopes to be around for Kings Island's 50th anniversary...and to ride whatever Little Bills is called then then...(yes, Terp can be a strange one!) Quote
LongliveKingsCobra Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 Was that a backwards slant at your height lol? Quote
dragsterfan420 Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 The Outer Limits was an old show kind of like the Twilight Zone. ut in the 90's they started making new episodes. Quote
Coaster Kid Posted July 25, 2009 Posted July 25, 2009 Well if Terpy was her for opening day of KI tht was about 37 years ago plus he said he was older already then most posters alreday so im going to say around 50 to 60. Quote
