Coasterfun
It's interesting that they did not mention Kidzville. I'm assuming that they are leaving that area as is.
Vortex
I wonder when Kings Island will say Snoopy is coming to replace Nick.
Diamondback FOF
Well, someone on CWMania keeps insisting the three rides will not just be kids rides. Supposedly there will be another announcement after the weekend.
Diamondback FOF
From Screamscape on 8/23: Canada’s Wonderland has confirmed that they will add 3 new flat rides to the park for 2010 and retheme the Nickelodeon and Hanna-Barbera Land areas into a new Planet Snoopy land. The park will also add a Snoopy On Ice show as well. I wonder if they will be flat rides for kids, or flat rides for everyone?
TTD-120-420
Or a combo of the two? 2 flats for bigger people and one for kids?
vortexfan
The park's newsletter says the three rides will be children's rides:
Beast79
Interesting to see what happens at ki, my two daughters who are 3 and 5 love snoopy and the peanut gang!
BoddaH1994
Interesting to see what happens at ki, my two daughters who are 3 and 5 love snoopy and the peanut gang! If I had to guess, I'd say that what your daughters will be seeing in KI's kiddy area in the next few years is entirely dependent on the public's acceptance of the transition of Nickelodeon to Peanuts at Wonderland. The Interpreter
If THAT is Cedar Fair's game plan (and I truly doubt that it is), then I'm stunned. I thought the company was far more aware of the cultural differences, and they are more than they first appear, between Ontario, Canada and Ohio/Kentucky/Indiana. CedarPointer
NOOOOOOO!! Please don't bring Snoopy to KI, CF!

I really think there are more similarities than differences when it comes to kids that age, whether they're from Ontario or Ohio. I don't think they can try to exactly replicate the results from one park to the next, but it would certainly be a way to help determine if people in general would be accepting of a transition from Nick to Snoopy.
