There were many. Not everything makes the Internet, but I'd be amazed if they weren't somewhere....Goes to look...

there were more than a few of them...it was heavily advertised. i myself have a commemorative coin celebrating its opening and all of the new records it achieved. There is a promo spoof of the blair witch project that Kings Island did for it, i think on the KICentral videos somewhere....

    maybe it has to do with the fact that you were only four or five when those ad's were on t.v.

    I remember a funny radio ad from 2000 (opening year). You may recall that Son of Beast was closed for several weeks after it opened, and this ad promoted it's "grand re-opening". The announcer in the ad said something like: "Son of Beast has been a real BRAT, but now he's on his BEST behavior".

    I thought it was a clever way to address the situation.

    I think there was a line in the commercial with the baby carriage along the lines of: Our baby has grown up. Didn't the carriage roll down the first drop too if I remember right?
