KI Fireworks

Featured Replies

I dont know about best, but it beats the pants off of CP's nightly show.

Top 5 firework shows Ive ever seen:

-Boston's 4th of July Firework show

-Magic Kingdom's 4th of July show

-1995 Green Bay 4th of July show (@ Lambeau Field)

-Illuminations

and?

and here I go and delete one thinking I had six (hiding head in shame)

-Wishes

Although if we were to expand it to night shows with fireworks Fantasmic would be #5.

Fantasmic or Illuminations... that'd be hard one for me to choose which one is better...

I remember watching the 1984 4th of July display from the bleachers at Mason High (back then, you could just park right off of Mason-Montgomery and walk up to the bleachers; everything up to I-71 was farmland). They had what looked like a single, green CO2 laser beam shining way up into the sky during the fireworks. I don't think the beam was "drawing" anything, but it would occasionally fan out and back in, spin, and sweep around. Nothing really spectacular. There were small planes flying a circle around the display in the sky (about 7 or 8 of them). It was, ..well, different.

I hope KI does not lose the fireworks. It's a whole lot better than whatever would replace it.

Unless Cedar Fair were to add a whole new line of interactive shows, not based completely on singing, and a German themed show in Octoberfest. I can only wish...

But how many singing shows to they have? They could at least go to the length of writing their own music, or putting some sort of story into the shows.
