NoLimits8705
I am just posting to retract my statement about VIBE and the music. The music is new..newer ( is that a word ) than I thought it was. They sang daniel Bedingfield...love that song....Madonna's new one and even Beatiful which was an ok version. I likes the show..alot now!! GOTTA GET THE VIBE!! Now to TR: Stunt Show PKi did a good job with this I believe! It's not the best stunt show, but for the theatre size and stage size they did a good job. The cop guy that strips is hialrious and Laura is sexxy....i loced the motor bike. Ans the explosions really made me jump. What do you guys think? GO SEE BOTH THESE SHOWS!! BoddaH1994
Vibe isn't too bad. I intend to see the TR stunt show when I go today. Have you seen Spellbound? Not the best show PKI has ever had, but definately worth noting. -Ryan
italianchef
I thought that the Tomb Raider show was cute. The "fighting" scenes looked too fake for my taste, but the stunts and special effects were quite impressive. I've seen Vibe 3 times and think it's okay - but not my taste. The reason I saw it as often as I have (and will see it again) is because Mrs. Chef is quite fond of the show. Given a choice, I'd rather see Graveyard Shift. Unfortunately...it's gone. And as I've said in other posts, Graveyard Shift was the greatest show I have EVER seen at PKI. And I'm sure my friend Blondie would agree with me. NoLimits8705
The stunts are a little too fake, but teh stunts make up for the fighting. And Graveyard Shift was really good...PKI needs more shows like that. Ooh Ooh I just thought about something else about VIBE.....the costumes.....the khaki and browns don't look right with that kinda show. They should bring back the POP FUSION outfits. Those were awesome. Flambouyant and bright colors would go better with that show. Other than that I shall continue to watch both shows. Ohh and no I havn't seen spellbound. Crispy1979
I am just curious. What kind of illusions do they perform in Spellbound? Cris
Jumpin Jack
I think the performers in both shows work very hard to do their best with what they were given... The criticism is cool, as everyone is entitled to their opinion,,,, just be specific where you aim it. Those on stage are often props for the producers or those who put together the shows... Eitherway, on the topic of shows you will surely find differeing opinions from everyone, therefore impossible to make everyone happy with one show,,,,, so I appreciate the park's attempt to present the public with a variety of shows, country, vibe, magic, stunt, nick,,,, it's a well balanced schedule of shows. NoLimits8705
Jumpin Jack what you say is very true. There is no dount in my mind that the people in all teh shows work their hardest and give 110% in the shows that present to us. I am not trying to totally put the shows down, cause theya re compltely GREAT! I just was suprised at the costume selection. So if I offended anyone I am sorry. -Ryan aka Ry Ry Dance Guy

andyatuc
I made a great joke during the show: "It's amazing! She does whatever he asks! It must be MAGIC!" LOL. I thought the one with the box was pretty awesome though. I can't figure that one out yet... Andy
NoLimits8705
Wow that lady disappears alot..lol! But I might see it cause of all that dancing. Sounds coolios. IS the way she disappears the classics like the woman turning into a tiger and other tricks like that? Also hwo long is the show?
Beastfreak
No tigers are involved, but yeah its sorta like that. Put woman in box. Cut it in two, open box, she isn't in either. Put box together and PRESTO she is there again, bunch of the normal magic stuff. I thought the show was still pretty cool though, maybe minus all the dancing. Some of the dancing was fine, but they just did too much. Edited January 1, 1970 by beastfreak
DanielRadsgrl
I thought it was ok. But like Shaggy said it's pretty much the same thing over and over and over again. Me and my friend were laughing about how he always clapped his hands and said "HEY". Graveyard shift was good, I got to dance with the doctor science dude. It was fun. And I would always sit in the front row on the 0 so I knew I was in the middle and it was cool when the "dead" people like reached out at you. NoLimits8705
I wanna see it now! And yes Graveyard Shift was the bomb and they should bring taht back just for Fearfest or sumthing.....I miss "I get knocked down....I dig him up again !" That was awesome. lol That is just sad I remember those songs. I rember when I saw it too. it was June 21, 2002...the same day as the O-town concert. Jumpin Jack
Despite the hype,,, and overwhelming support from these forums (which I just do not understand),,,, it is impossible to bring Graveyard Shift back! How are they going to find all of those performers who were in that show, convince them to stop whatever they are doing now, and come do a show at Kings Island for a few weeks??? Nevermind copyright laws... Yet again, people wanting thisngs that are just not realistic on these forums. Get over it, and get on with your lives... We all have. I figured they were at least dating as I saw the chesmistry between them. I'm glad that I was correct. Thanks Shaggy! You are truly the expert on all things PKI. Nevermind copyright laws... Yet again, people wanting thisngs that are just not realistic on these forums. Get over it, and get on with your lives... We all have. As always, I respect your opinion. However, I'd like to point several things out: 1. PKI need not return the same performers for the show. A different cast can do it just as different casts around the world perform Cats, Les Misarables, 42nd Street (a joke if you lived in NYC), Phantom of the Opera, etc. 2. I have seen the performer who played Patch last year at Vibe this year - and I believe that the lady who played Medusa is also in Vibe. Additionally, I have heard that the performer who played Dr. Frankenstein is also performing at PKI this year. And I'm not sure about the whereabouts of the lady who played the Bride of Frankenstein - I think her name was Scream. Getting an ensemble of background dancers shouldn't be too hard. There was one of the lady dancers I admired very much, but since I am a public figure on this site, I shall decline to describe her. Otherwise, folks might tease her saying "Italian Chef thinks you're attractive. Too bad for you he's already happily married. Ha ha ha." Anyway, she wasn't the epitomy of my taste, but close to it. 3. Graveyard Shift was in my humble opinion - the greatest show PKI has put on since the year 2000. NoLimits8705
THANK YOU ITALIAN CHEF!! YOU ROCK THIS PKIUWORLD! Graveyard Sift was awesome. Also I noticed that guy in VIBE and he was the host for karoake too. I remember him being Patch and I also saw him at the O-town concert that night. And yto Jumpin Jack, PKi wuldn't havta get the exact same cast members for that show..that would be pointless. A new cast with mayeb new songs. Just admit it everyone on here loves the shows at PKI!! lol

Jumpin Jack
Yogi, you the man. And,,,,,,,, not to burst anyone's bubble, but it is impossible to bring back Graveyard Shift. CantStopCabron
STOP with the coma friggin ",,,,,,,,,," crap! Jeeze! Haven't you ever heard of periods?! (I couldn't take it anymore, sorry) PS: I'm not saying sorry to Jumpin Jack, but to the mods who will probablly delete this. Jumpin Jack needs to learn to spell and write properly. Jumpin Jack
Man, why all the angst? I like my comas,,,, I mean,,,,, don't be a hater. If you happen to prefer using periods that's cool. I'm not all gonna go and make fun of your favorite puntuation mark. However I appreciate the feedback, and will consider it as I am currently writing my doctoral thesis... I'll try not to use as many comas,,,,,,,,,.

Jumpin Jack
I'm not really at liberty to say why it would now be impossible,,, but despite the opinion on this board, it was not as big of a hit as suggested here. I am not sure what information I could release without getting in trouble,,, so I'm not going to release any other than my opinion. In my opinion it would not be the same without the same cast, they were a good ensemble together, and again in my opinion, one of the best things about the production overall. But aside from that point,,, for other reasons,,,,, it would be impossible.
Return_of_Yogi
I agree. Chemistry between cast really can make a difference. It's like seeing a broadway twice, one time is always going to be better than the other.
NoLimits8705
I know chemistry is between cast member is important, I am in musicals and plays. When we did "Grease" this past Apri at my school, the girl who was Sandy disliked the boy that played Danny. So sometimes people could she didn't like him. But I am more than sure a new cast could get along just as well. Also If the original cast is the only the best people to do a particular show then PKI should never hold auditions for new cast members each year. Like for Slimetime Live and what not.
Jumpin Jack
Good Point. Returning the same cast members is not nessisary for a good show..... However it is if you want the same show. Since Graveyard was so character oriented, when you change the 4 leads, the show is simply different. For example, Graveyard was done at another Paramount Park before it had a run at PKI,,,,,, and was not nearly as successful at the other park. Why,,,,, cast members/management. They had the same songs, same effects, and nealy same facility.
NoLimits8705
I didn't know that about GS. However I would for them to bring back that show, but it doesn't have to be exactly the same. they could make new parodies and what not...to make it more up to date. I see what you are saying though jumpin jack.
