malem
^ Good catch; it's certainly not the first time the wrong park's details were put on the website. Luckily, they got it fixed relatively quickly. Posting website errata in this thread seems to do the trick.
The Interpreter
Given that the primary guest opportunities for that event invlolve spending, that seems priced about right. Remember, Cedar Fair does not own Gilroy Gardens, but only manages it under contract.
jcgoble3
This is on fox19.com, not KI's website, but I didn't feel like starting a new thread for it. I come up with: The headline is wrong. The article only says that the park is open Friday and Monday on Labor Day weekend, implying that it is closed Saturday and Sunday. September 11 is a Wednesday... ...and that should be September 21 anyway... ...and the park most certainly does NOT open at 0700 that day. It's spelled Haunt, not Hant. Does that match your list, or did I miss one?

The Interpreter
I doubt it. Editors, fact checkers and proofreaders were among the first let go in the new media.
Ride On_17
The website still shows FOF having OTSRs. I even saw it mentioned previously in this thread and it hasn't been fixed. Granted, I don't expect everything mentioned to get fixed right away, but I don't know why--this just really bothers me haha.

McSalsa
LOLZ...I was checking the thrill rides page of VisitKingsIsland.com, and found this... Thrill RidesYear after year, the best thrills the world has to offer are at Kings Island. Year after year, the best thrills keep getting better. Speed junkies can get their fix on the new Banshee - the longest inverted roller coaster in the world. Challenge The Beast - the longest wooden roller coaster in the world - and Diamondback. There's also The Bat, Delirium, Drop Tower, Delirium, Invertigo, The Racer and Vortex. The thrills never seem to end at Kings Island. I bolded it to make it stand out, LOL.
homestar92
https://www.visitkingsisland.com/rides/Thrill-Rides-12-14-11-44/Flight-Deck Exhibit A: The URL is wrong. What is this "Flight Deck"? Exhibit B: If you view the video for the ride, it shows this "Flight Deck" ride again. I kid, obviously they need time to get these things changed. It'll be interesting to see how that works out. This will be the first time since Cedar Fair became owner of KI that a single ride is going to get renamed isn't it? Obviously there was the mass De-Paramounting of 2008 and Snoopy in 2010, but this is different than both of those cases. Actually, this may be the first time since Drop Zone was renamed that an individual ride will be renamed. -Homestar92, being clever with his wording in the hopes that someone is confused by it and made to feel silly.
Diamondbacker27
I wonder why they havent added Banshee to "Thrill Rides" Gatekeeper was on CPs page when it got announcex
homestar92
Maybe they want to be more careful. As you said in your post, CP accidentally ended up adding a ride that isn't thrilling to the "Thrill Rides" section of the website.

The Interpreter
Perhaps this is something Dick Kinzel did. Now that he's gone.... HAR HAR HAR! He probably thought secure socket layers were porcelain.
malem
^ This particular certificate wasn't issued until 12/12/2012, so blaming him might be farfetched. (But then again, Bart's still there at the end of 2013.) One would hope that an error like this would have started sending alerts to the mobile phones of Cedar Fair's IT staff around 7:01pm last night.
Spectrum91
Actually, this may be the first time since Drop Zone was renamed that an individual ride will be renamed. -Homestar92, being clever with his wording in the hopes that someone is confused by it and made to feel silly. The Outer Limits: Flight of Fear was shortened to just Flight of Fear in 2001. However, one could argue that one of the "new" attractions that year (Wild Thornberry's River Adventure) was also renamed (having been Kings Mill Log Flume up until it last operated in 1999). Personally, I prefer to think of KMLF and WTRA as two separate rides, as the attraction was almost entirely rebuilt. And for anybody not getting what homestar92 was referring to, Xtreme Skyflyer opened in 1995 as "Drop Zone". It was renamed to its current name the following season, most likely to allow for a new ride named Drop Zone to open in Coney Mall in 1997 (there was even a teaser sign that said "Future Site of New Attraction Dropping in Next Summer!"). The attraction was postponed and instead opened in 1999 as part of the new Paramount's Action Zone.
CedarPointer
So, evidently going to m.visitkingsisland.com brings you to a different site than going to visitkingsisland.com on a mobile browser does... one that's stuck in 2011... http://m.visitkingsisland.com/public/inside/rides/index.cfm?mode=types&type=10
The Interpreter
...and, when accessed on a typical mobile device, one where e-commerce is not possible. Odd, given their e-commerce assister is ACCESSo [sic], which doesn't allow access to e-commerce without Flash. It's 2013, not 1998. Sigh.
TheBEASTunchained
On the general Thrill Rides page on visitkingsisland.com, The Beast is still listed as being a Fast Lane Plus attraction, while Banshee is listed as not being a part of the Fast Lane lineup at all. Just a minor mistake that I thought I'd point out.

thegajone
I was just browsing the events and promotions page today and noticed that the Dinos After Dark event says "Walk through a 12.5 Jurassic forest setting at night" -- I think they forgot the word "acre" in there.
malem
Not Kings Island, but apparently the new-for-2014 water slides at Carowinds' Boomerang Bay were not added to the appropriate attractions page on the park's own website: https://www.carowinds.com/things-to-do/boomerang-bay (Announcement page: https://www.carowinds.com/what-s-new/more-thrills-at-boomerang-bay) The 2014 operating season for the waterpark is over.
