Going to Six Flags St Louis this weekend, I have a few questions.

Recommended Posts

I'm going with Kat (violakat03), Nick (dare to fly), and Adam (pkiboy) this Saturday, it's their closing day. This will be my first visit to the park.

I've looked the coasters up on RCDB, so I'm aware of those, and I'm going to ride them all. I'm really looking forward to Batman The Ride, Evel Knievel, and Mr. Freeze!

What kinds of flats do they have that I should ride? Is there any kind of really good food or desserts I should try? And what else should I look for, such as nostalgic parts of the park, anything of interest, etc.? I like to explore parks and see what is hiding in the (non-restricted) corners of the park.

Thanks! :)

You MUST ride Scooby...

This park has the best fudge ever and fantastic candy apples, made in the park.

The Boss is incredible...except for the Miracle Whip signs everywhere. Evel is great fun.

And don't miss the incredible flat that used to be Evolution at Six Flags Great Adventure....at SFStL it is called XCalibur.

This should help, too:

I noticed the odd advertisements at SFKK too. I saw one that said "If everyone's fists were made of Skittles, getting hit in the mouth would be delicious." (Or something like that.) I also LOL'd at the "Hold On To Your Buns" Miracle Whip ads.

Along with what Terpy said, XCalibur is the best flat there! So FUN!

Now as for my opinion on The Boss. I would have to say it was not fun for me as it was the roughest woodie I've ridden in my life. If it wasn't rough I definitely see a potentially great ride from The Boss.

Evel is an amazing GCI too!

I've heard mixed reviews on the Boss. However, I'm convinced that no wooden coaster is worse than Mean Streak at CP.. I'm still in shock that I rode that thing and my spine is still in one piece..

5 star park! Like really Six Flags St.Louis is great....One of a kind. Flats-Exaluber is one of the best flats I have EVER ridden, so disorienting!. Coasters-Offers a great amount of coasters, no bad coasters at all. Even Ninja wasn't bad. Boss is just astounding at night, Mr.Freeze is really awesome, very intense. Evel is a great GCI, Smooth as butter! Batman was a great intense invert, really good. The park has one crazy layout but a terrific atmosphere found no where else. You will love the place.

You think Mean Streak is worse than SOB? :P My chest did not hurt after being on Mean Streak like on SOB.

The fudge is better than Holiday World's?And HW has some pretty darn good fudge.Never been to SFSL before, but may be going with some fellow KICers next season.I must try this fudge you speak of.

WOW looks like you guys lucked out as to weather. High in the mid 70s. Makes me wish I was there with you. EK was great and Mr Freeze was pretty cool too (pun intended). We only go one lap on the Boss but I enjoyed it. IMO it is no rougher then The Beast. I didn't think it was rough at all, but a lot of the GP did seem to think so.

As to flats, XCalibur was quite interesting. It is a spinny type of ride but more like a Himalaya crossed with Delirium.
