Tom76257
Sometimes I just like to reminisce about the park and lately have been thinking about a certain movie that once played in Action Theater. Does anyone remember the ride James Bond 007 that played in the Paramount days? I don't remember all of the movie that played, but I do remember James himself coming out to start the movie and shooting into the audience which gave the chair a jolt and red cascaded down the screen as if to say you were bleeding. I think this was viewed down the barrel of a gun and the chair also moved with the barrel after being shot. This was to re-enact the start to James Bond movies. I also remember being briefed about a terrorist, riding on a boat and a motorcycle, and being hit with a lead pipe while on the motorcycle. Other than that I can't say I remember much else about the movie. My first ride came on Math and Science Day 1998 simply because it was required to ride it. Does anyone else remember more about the ride? How many seasons it played? I enjoyed riding it, but only got to do so a few times while it was playing. On a side note, sadly, I never got to experience Days of Thunder, which was the predecessor to James Bond 007.
The Interpreter
That was in Action Theater for 1998, 1999 and 2000. By the end, it wasn't very popular. It was replaced, I believe, by Seventh Portal.
Beast79
I remember the first year they had a James Bond boat out next to Vortex's exit. Funny thing is early 98 I was training on Flight of Fear and we all were asked to ride Bond before opening to the public but the only catch was there was no sound yet! haha
gigacoaster2k
My favorite was the Days of Thunder. That was and is still one of my favorite movies, so I really enjoyed that one. The James Bond was good too. I liked it when Action Theater actually had action movies in it.
flightoffear1996
Heck I remeber when it was Days of Thunder the best one out of them all. I liked James Bond also then they just went down hill from there.
Colonel_SoB_fan
Days of Thunder was the greatest, but Seventh Portal was also very good
Cory Butcher
I wish I could ride around with the Mello Yellow Chevrolet Lumina to this day
TopThrill
My favorite movie in AT would be Days of Thunder. James Bond was ok.
frisbeefan
Days of Thunder by far the best of AT. James Bond wasn't awful, but still didn't come close to Days of Thunder.
KI-ORIG-EMP
I really liked the Days of Thunder ride. Do you remember the sounds of the race being played at the entrance? My asignment when I had the rest room cleaning detail at the end of Coney Mall was to keep that mens restroom cleaned. I could not help hear the NASCAR race being played with the radio announcers talking about Rusty Wallace. I heard that broadcast that I had it memorized and could recite it word for word. The ride itself was very great with the sound effects and when they jacked the car, your seats would go up and when the car roared off, your seat would slam you back in your seat.
