October 6, 201411 yr I wish I could see this because this looks really creative, and I wish I could go when it opens, but there is no way I could come up with the money. I knew that we haven't seen the last of Paramount owning a theme park, I'm glad to see it happen once again after about 8 years. A large majority of my favorite movies are Paramount. Though, I am disappointed that I may never go to Spain and see this, I still can go to my favorite amusement park, the one, The only, Kings Island.
October 6, 201411 yr Author Just be aware, Paramount isn't going to own this park. VIACOM is allowing its intellectual properties to be used in exchange for a payment(s). That's a HUGE difference. I doubt you see Paramount back in the business as an owner/operator for a very long time, if ever.
October 6, 201411 yr That can go quite a few ways, too. Disney doesn't own or operate Tokyo Disney Resort. Instead, the Oriental Land Company owns and operates it, investing huge money into the park (evidently, more than The Walt Disney Company would) while also paying Disney huge licensing fees to use its names, logos, identities, characters, and intellectual properties. Wowza.
October 6, 201411 yr Author Or see the two US Six Flags parks that the Six Flags Entertainment Corporation does not fully control, aka "the partnership parks."
October 6, 201411 yr ^ Wait, is there another one in the U.S. besides (I'm assuming) Great Escape? I always figured it was Great Escape and La Ronde that Six Flags didn't totally own, but since you specified Six Flags within the country, I'm curious.
October 6, 201411 yr Author Six Flags Over Georgia. Six Flags Over Texas. The company fully owns The Great Escape, a member of the Six Flags Theme Park Family
