March 23, 201016 yr Around when Kings Island closed last year I bought my first Patnuim Pass. Me and my friend always go to GWL in June and We also participate In ERT on DB and Beast can I still do this with a PP
March 23, 201016 yr Yes, you can get into the ERT with a CF Platinum Pass. http://visitkingsisland.com/events/events.cfm?ec_id=33
March 29, 201016 yr Yes.The Beast and d-back are listed again as ert.Not sure if they will add any others.I miss the double ride tuesdays.
March 30, 201016 yr Just remember that the ERT does not start until Friday, April 30th. I know you said June in your original post, but I'm just adding this to make sure it is known. I would hate to have someone leave their home early just to find out that its not going to early open that day.
March 30, 201016 yr It could be worse. People need to remember, too, that Kings Island is NOT open to the public the Sunday after opening day, April 18...
March 30, 201016 yr Why are they waiting until the 30th to start ert? That sucks. Now I have to race even more people to get the first Beast train of the year
March 30, 201016 yr And besides, they are not doing the ERT for what, four days that the park is open to the public? It is not that big of a deal. Heck, I remember a day when there were no gold passes or Platinum Passes. And the only way one could get ERT was at enthusiast events. And at one point in time, there really was only one group that held events at parks with ERT. Most pass holders at KI are very fortunate that they can get early rides in on certain attractions. The park does not HAVE to offer that perk.
March 30, 201016 yr Heck, I can remember when you paid for each and every ride, using tickets. Parking was free. Most parks had free or very low priced admission. Grandparents brought the grandkids to ride, while they walked around and enjoyed themselves, paying little or nothing. Funny thing is, the lines were almost always much shorter back then, people rode more of what they wanted and left, and the parks seemed to make plenty of money. It was a different time, it was a simpler time.
March 30, 201016 yr Many things are no longer simple, even with the things we have to make things simple.
