SIX FLAGS SEASON PASS PRICING TO INCREASE ON JUNE 1

Recommended Posts

Word is that on June 1 of this year, Six Flags season pass pricing will increase by at least $10 per pass at each park. This may be the first of a series of increases. New management is assessing the value proposition offered by Messrs Snyder and Shapiro, and may or may not continue with similar pricing in the future...

I wonder if they will keep the Funatic program. I just was at Six Flags St.Louis last Sat and I noticed that the price of a season pass is $59.99 now thats just for the pass. Keep in mind parking is a add on at each Six Flags park.

Yep. Those already purchased will not see increased pricing. But if you ain't got yours by June 1, you will almost certainly pay more. In some cases, much, much more.

Al Weber is now at Six Flags. Mr. Weber does not believe in "giving away the gate." Compared to Messrs Kinzel, Snyder and Shapiro, he is a firm believer in "pricing integrity." As Mr. Kinzel used to be.

When Dave and I went down to Six Flags Over Georgia back in March He had to pay 15 because nether of our passes were scaning for parking and we Both had parking on our passes. Now they got that problem fixed Fast I just dont see why Cf cant do the same thing with the passes not scaning.

Management causes to happen that which is important to it. At one chain, customer service is an utmost priority. At another, it is not. At that chain, the passholders who pay the most for their passes are seen as freeloaders and problem children, not the profit centers and park boosters they actually can be and in many cases are.

Well, in park pricing will also be reviewed, with an eye toward increasing per caps and profitability while perhaps lowering overall in park pricing. The entire Six Flags pricing philosophy is now on the table.

Stick to Cedar Fair? Fine...just know that in park pricing at Cedar Fair is perhaps the highest in the industry...even more than at Six Flags Great Adventure in the very expensive northeast, in a park where much of the staff is unionized and paid much more than elsewhere in the country.

Maybe I'm completely wrong on this, but I think it's a good thing. Like $60 to get into all of the Six Flags parks all year? I don't know... It never seemed right to me. What do I know?

My friends and I used to buy a Wyandot Lake Season Pass at Kroger for $39.99 every year, which got us into all Six Flags parks. This was back when SFO / SFWoA was around and we would easily visit parks 10-15 times over a season, having paid just $39.99 (and I believe in 2000, we got the passes for just $34.99, which was also the first year for Six Flags Ohio).

I find the SF passes to be a great bargain at the current prices and would still consider them to be at $10 more. I could even see spending up to $100 for an all park pass that included parking. I don't think I would get a CF PP at $140-$160 if it were not for the fact that I live half way between KI and CP. Since the nearest SF park is 7-8 hours I would have to think long and hard about getting one for what CF charges.

I would bet that they will go up next year, but I doubt it will be a huge increase.
