The X-Base Poll

Is this just me or does anyone else think that X-Base is perfect for a $40 million dollar expansion like they did with Action Zone in 99' It could use a few new rides and maybe a resteraunt and some restrooms. I'm not talking anytime soon. Probably like in 6 or 7 years or so...

I could see it being the next expansion. I don't see it happening all in one season, and I don't seeing it happen within the next 3 years, but it will happen eventually. I vote for a Screaming Swing since it's something different than what the park already has.

i really want a screamin' swing, but since the other two attractions in x-base have more of a secret government training feel to it, i voted for an enterprise, kind of like the g' force test that astronauts and some pilots go through, making it, in my mind at least, the easiest to tie into the current theme of the area.

Yes - No - Screamin' Swing

Not only would I like to see a screamin' swing at Kings Island, I think it would be a pretty likely addition. Cedar Fair has recently installed at some of their parks, so I could see one coming to Kings Island.

I think they should call the area "no fly zone" since Firehawk and Flight of Fear seem to have constant problems and high wait times! Yuck, worst part of the park!

Its a good idea, but I believe they should perfect KI's 6 other sections, before they start a new one.

Or at least fill in the empty Coney Mall space.

Doesn't anyone remember KI's last attempt at an Enterprise? Skylab was down for maintenance all the time until its removal for... games. I think the climbing wall came first, then the Virtual Reality simulator.

Other parks had very reliable standard models of the Huss Enterprise. Kings Island had to get a giant one [Skylab] (which was very reliable for many years, until near the end). Does that sound familiar? Well, all but that last part...which in the otherwise analogous case is somewhat reversed...

The Dippin Dots guy told me to think big. He says Cedar Fair is miffed at Six Flags and wants the world records back for the tallest and fastest coaster, and that you can see land being cleared out back behind FH if you look hard enough. Can anyone bring binoculars to KI today and take a look?

I know that the greenhouse is KI's, and I believe that pond is too.
