Beastfreak Posted December 13, 2003 Posted December 13, 2003 Well I have no idea what the cost is I do know that the whole 1999-2000 Action Zone retheming/new rides was about a $50million project. I think SOB was supposed to be roughly half of that but it ended up costing more for many reasons. I should have the article about the original Action Zone announcement in a file (shoebox) somewhere, but hard telling where. I may find it online. Quote

coasterrz Posted December 13, 2003 Posted December 13, 2003 The 1999-2000 Action Zone expansion, was announced in the September 4, 1998 edition of the Cincinnati Enquirer. (I have a clipping of that article hanging in my room.) You might be able to find a copy of it on the Enquirer`s website, which is Cincinnati.com. It proclaims that the two year expansion cost $35 million. I`ve heard that estimates put Son of Beast at around $15-17 million. Although, obviously, they`ve spent quite a lot of money maintaining it and trying to smooth it out. As far as that lawsuit after the Son`s first season, I read somewhere where they settled out of court, but I`m not positive on that one. Quote
