brick52
Delirium has reopened, I noticed riders being loaded around 12 and it has been running since then, well at least until I left the park around 2.
Dbfan
Good to hear, I never realized how much I liked that ride until I went a day at KI without riding it.
BeastForever
Yeah me too. With Delirium being closed for about two weeks, I've also noticed that I have actually never rode Delirium at night before. Next time I go I'll try to.
pbkigi
Glad to hear they were really pounding away at it about a week ago, so does anyone know if it was the brakes?
The Interpreter
Yes. Someone knows. Terpy, who just HAD to (and who is sometimes as predictable as the son becoming general manager at Carowinds...)
flightoffear1996
Sweet. glad to hear that its up. Was it swining like usual?
fan of beast
i rode it a couple of hours ago. it does appear to swing higher than i remember. i noticed the little "hitch" you used to feel is gone. there are 2 large slewing bearings on a pallet just on the other side of the fence behind the ride. Dieseltech20
Saw it running today and it looked very smooth and appeared to be swinging very high.
Diamondback96
How high? 2003 high, or higher? (the answer is yes )
chaddie
It was closed around 5 when I was there.

Pillsberry123
Good to hear that it ran if nothing else. It's my favorite flat in the park, and I hate to see ANY ride not run for a lengthy period of time.
Thrill_Biscuit
Yeah me too. With Delirium being closed for about two weeks, I've also noticed that I have actually never rode Delirium at night before. Next time I go I'll try to. Night rides are awesome... and don't worry about all the bugs flying around the floodlights; they always seem to get out of the way as the ride swings through. tlvtr
I was at the park early this morning (July 22nd) and I rode Delirium for the first time. Everything seemed fine. It was a very smooth and fun ride. 30 minutes later I was walking back from Flight Deck and Delirium was in the middle of cycle and I heard a loud SNAP. I looked up and there was something falling from the ride. I didn't get a great look at it, but it kinda looked like a large piece of fabric the way it twisted as it fell. Almost immediately the full line waiting for it started flooding out of the entrance. Before the ride came to a stop the operator got on the intercom to announce that there was a temporary technical difficulty and to please be patient. I rushed over to see if I could see anything, and the ride was continuing to swing slightly without coming to a full stop. There were people pointing to the top of the ride saying "you can see it there", but I couldn't see anything and I eventually left without getting any real information. For what it's worth, I think I saw a lot of smiling faces of people still on the ride, so I don't think it was anything that freaked out the people during the ride... Anyone else see this happen or have any more information?

Purplehaze
I really do not care who makes what as long as its a cool ride, or boardwalk
The Interpreter
I wish I were still there..but I have too many friends at the ride manufacturers, and have learned largely what I can expect from each manufacturer's rides. There IS a difference...just as there are differences, for example, between the average Toyota and the average Subaru...or the average Ford and the average Dodge....
