Colonel_SoB_fan
What are some good, inexpensive, restaurants close to Cedar Point? I will be heading up there tomorrow and would like to know what good to eat.
The Interpreter
I highly recommend Chet and Matt's Pizza... http://www.tripadvis...dusky_Ohio.html Also just about anywhere that sells local perch...New Sandusky Fish Company comes to mind. http://www.tripadvis...dusky_Ohio.html Some adore the burgers at The Thirsty Pony: http://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g50940-d462535-Reviews-Thirsty_Pony-Sandusky_Ohio.html
coaster_junky
there are a few fast food restaurants close to great wolf lodge, along with an applebee's and a red lobster.
EssentiallyCoaster
Ryan's is also fairly cheap at lunch, but dinner it's $10 a person/
flightoffear1996
I never knew there was an applebees there. I like to hit up Chicago pizza. The pizza isnt the best but for $6 a pizza buffet aint a bad thing.
The Interpreter
Chet and Matt's beats the heck out of East of Chicago and can often take less time as well...as East of Chicago gets very, very busy...
Browntggrr
I have always enjoyed Bob Evans for breakfast, lunch, or dinner: http://hosted.where2getit.com/bobevans/index.html?form=locator_search&addressline=44870 But it is hard to beat some of the mom & pop shops in the Sandusky area when it comes down to quality vs. quantity. Unfortunately, most of them do not have websites.
coaster_junky
the applebee's is really good, or at least it was two years ago when i ate there. ...very rarely i'm able to eat at a "real" set-in restauraunt on a Cedar Point vacation, i'm usually at the park from opening to close, leaving me with only 24 hour drive thru's to eat at. Colonel_SoB_fan
Thanks for the suggestions. Definitly no buffets before riding, those will be saved for thursday on our way out of sandusky. I agree FOF1996, I have been to Chicago Pizza before, for the price it is good.
brick52
McDonalds right before you get on the causeway.
PhantomTheater
I suggest Lemmy's out near Rye Beach Rd or Berardi's in Huron, where one can get the real CP fresh cut fries. Also on 250 Lee's famous recipe is delicious, and as others recommended Chet and Matt's (which I finally got to this season)

Chet and Matt's Pizza cannot be endorsed highly enough! Yum! Recently, though, we have been eating a late lunch in the park, then hitting the Denny's at I-71 and 250 on the way home to Columbus. It's open 24 hrs, the food is good (if you're into that sort of thing), and you can sit as long as you want and drink coffee to get you the rest of the way home. Monroe
Aunt Sandy's, she specializes in Hungarian but can cook you any thing you want, and it will be better than any restaurant you go to. Only problem is, you have to find her house for yourself…….if I tell you then every one will go and she will kill me for that. Oh and if you do find it, tell her I love her and to make the Swedish meat balls with gorgonzola and the stuffed mushrooms. You might hate me when you see the portions, but you will thank me when she dosn't bring you a bill and you tast it.
markr
If you like a good breakfast, highly recommend Castaway Bay breakfast buffet.
Guest Millennium
Outback every time. Kalahari has some good food even though it isn't worth the price. I don't hate CP food that much.
GrandsonofBeast
Chicago Pizza is great, but you have to get in your car and drive there. Famous Daves is a very short walk from the blue streak entrance. In fact, if you are by Raptor/Blue Streak, Famous Dave's is probably closer then some coasters. markr
^Although Famous Dave's has good food, the service there was terrible last time I was there. We waited 2 hours for our food. They did take 1/2 off our bill after I approached them about this.
Pillsberry123
Also just about anywhere that sells local perch...New Sandusky Fish Company comes to mind. I look forward to that place on my annual visits as much as I do Cedar Point itself! I put the New Sandusky Fish Co in my top 5 places to eat anywhere.
