BoddaH1994
A month-long campaign has just ended where park guests had the opportunity to purchase a pink duck to support the Susan G. Komen Foundation for breast cancer awareness. The pink ducks were sold in increments of $5 each or 5 for $20. They were then chucked into Kings Island's famous Royal Fountain and one lucky duck was picked by Bengals Head Coach Marvin Lewis to win a brand new Toyota Yaris from Joseph Toyota of Cincinnati. Both the Susan G. Koman Foundation and Kings Island had high hopes that they would raise a lot of money to fight breast cancer, and boy did they! $185,000 was raised for the foundation, which is one of the highest amounts ever raised by the Greater Cincinnati Chapter. Oldiesmann
Great to see that they raised so much from that event. Hopefully they'll do it again next year! It's amazing that they managed to sell that many ducks. Even if everyone just bought one duck, we're talking 37,000 ducks.
