I stumbled upon a site this morning that has me in awe. http://www.shorpy.com In particular check out the Detroit Publishing collection under Photographers. There are a ton of Coney Island images as well as other parks. You will have to do some searching, but if you love history it will be a pleasure. Most of these photos are from the Library of Congress collections.

Remember, back then you paid by the ride. Parks (and ride vendors) bent over backwards to be SURE people were satisfied.

That ride looks like it would be a really fun time.

I'm old enough to have known some people who rode one. And all they could tell me is they were tickled.

I just watched that entire video. I recommend it highly. I learned a few things I did not know!
