CoastersRZ
I was shocked when I read about this at lunch. A very sad situation indeed. Hopefully his condition improves. The full time staff at Holiday World certainly has had a lot to deal with recently.

According to an accident report released by the Spencer County Sheriff's Department, Eckert suffered head, arm and chest injuries."It was a rough wreck," said Holiday World spokeswoman Paula Werne. CoastersRZ
I read an article on earlier today on an Evansville new site stating that the bus pulled out in front of him. The bus driver couldn`t see his car because her view was blocked by another bus that was turning into the park lot. The driver`s kid`s were on the bus, as she was going to take them to a doctor`s appointment after her morning run. In addition to prayer`s going out to Matthew`s family, I`m sure that the bus driver could use some prayers too. I know after a bus accident in front of the local middle school here in Anderson Township, which critically injured a student who was crossing the street, his family asked for prayers not only for his speedy recovery (he is doing fine, but still not back at school yet after suffering head injuries), but also for the bus driver in that incident. IndyGuy4KI
You can see a video on the local Fox affiliate site in the link below. They show his vehicle after the crash. I think he is lucky to be alive! http://tristatehomepage.com/fulltext/?nxd_id=252506 Very small video frame for some reason?
CoastersRZ
Wow! That is some incredible footage. He truly is lucky to be alive. Will most have been looking down on him! Hopefully he makes a speedy and full recovery!
PREMiERdrum
Just for perspective's sake, that is a Honda Pilot crossover, not some compact. He's quite lucky to have survived, as impacts with school buses like this are quite often fatal. I'll say a prayer for him, his family, and his coworkers tonight. BavarianBeatle
I have and will continue to pray for him. The news footage of the vehicle looks the way it does because the Fire Department cut the body of the car away in order to get him out as safely as possible. But the fact that it was necessary to cut him out indicates that this was a very, very serious crash.
McSalsa
I wish him a speedy recovery, and will keep him in my prayers...as well as everyone whom was on The Bus. That's about all there is for me to say about this. Quite shocking and sad.
