Snowman
Is it the end of an era? Let's hope not. With all the excitement about DA/WindSeeker opening next weekend(EDIT: I am guessing WindSeeker will open with DA), we shouldn't ignore the possibility that this weekend might be the last for Beast/DB ERT. I want to offer a serious thank you to anyone associated with KI reading this for deciding to have a Beast/DB ERT this season until DA/WindSeeker was ready. My wife and I are planning a marathon this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. These 2 coasters actually had a large impact on our decision to move to Cincy, and the chance to ride them early for the last season and a month have been wonderful. I genuinely hope KI decides to include Beast/DB for gold/platinum passers to enjoy during ERT's again this season. Please let KI know how much you've enjoyed riding these amazing coasters before the general public got through the gates, and maybe they'll include them in future ERT's, (513) 754-5700. Creed Bratton
Where did you get info that WindSeeker was opening the following weekend?
Rollerzach
What do you mean the last weekend for Beast/DB ERT???
Creed Bratton
From what we have been told, it seems like once WindSeeker opens, ERT (Early Ride Time) for pass holders will switch to WindSeeker and Vortex from Diamondback and Beast.
Rollerzach
Oh! Okay that makes more since now. Thank you.
BoddaH1994
But again, no one from the park has officially come out and said that WindSeeker would be ready for next weekend. It could be tomorrow, could be two weeks from now. We just don't know yet. Until then, I'd expect Beast/DB to be the lineup.

Pure speculation on my part that they'll roll out (or up) WindSeeker with DA's opening. From reading many other posts and threads on here, I'm guessing speculation is encouraged for debate purposes. It was a mistake to state WindSeeker will be open next weekend as fact. I will edit my first post.
CoasterGeek101
I think Diamondback, and WindSeeker should be the ERT's.
MarketingExpress
I think Diamondback, and WindSeeker should be the ERT's. While many would agree with you, they do not realize the problems that would be created by having to open up 2 areas of the park early. UnrealNightmare
Cedar Point practically opens up the entire park for ERT. I mean look at what rides they have open for ERT.
flightoffear1996
Cedar Point and Kings Island are two different parks. Also at Cedar Point the ERT aren't all the midways open as well so you can line up early for those rides that aren't on ERT. I believe Kings Island has all the park sections closed other than the one listed on ERT its been sometime since I made it to the KI ERT. UnrealNightmare
And the midways are only open to pass holders not the GP. All they really need to do is post another security guard back there and it will be fine. The only thing in that path that wouldn't be open is BLSC. And think about it they are already going to have to walk through Coney Mall as it is. Why not route them through River Town past Diamondback and Beast and keep most of Coney Mall closed. Then you have all 4 rides for ERT.
Avatar
Cedar Point resort guest are allowed to partake in their ERT so they may have a larger guest crowd to accomadate.

While many would agree with you, they do not realize the problems that would be created by having to open up 2 areas of the park early. Very good point, even though it would make more sense to have the 2 newest rides be the ERT promotions, it probably just isn't what they were wanting to do as far as opening up certain areas of the park for early operation. Snowman
I was wrong about the last weekend for DB/Beast ERT. I just spoke with Customer Service and good news for some (my wife and I being 2 of those some) and bad news for the WindSeeker/Vortex seekers: DB/Beast will be the 2 rides open for ERT all the way through Memorial Day! Woo Hoo! If you see any military personnel there, give them an appreciative smile, head nod or thank you. Regardless of your politics, think about what they do for us. I may ride all coasters with no fear, but I'm not brave like they are. I have complete respect for all the men and women who put their lives on the line to defend our country.
