TrainedBeast
Hello KIC! It's me again! I'm going to be getting a very important tattoo and I need a good clear shot of The Beast Paw prints that used to be on the ground. If anyone has shots of them I would very much appreciate it! Hendrick
I so wish they were repainted. I remember, many times as a kid, walking through River Town, by the old Swan Lake, and to The Beast Station. Was always the first ride in the morning when I made those trips with my Dad. By the way, here's two links. KIfan73
I've never had much of a desire for a tattoo, but I have to admit you have a really good idea!
TrainedBeast
Thanks guys, you have no idea how much this means to me! I appriciate it more than you will know! I will post pictures when done! I'm also planning a Haunt Tattoo, I just need to design it. The reason I'm getting a pawprint is because Beast means a lot to me and it holds a very special place in my heart. <3 <3 Thanks again~!! standbyme
I am like KIfan73...I have never had a desire to get a tattoo. I can appreciate good tattoo work...I just wouldn't want one. I have had several friends whohave gotten tattoos of things they liked at the time...but now they don't and they are stuck with them. What happens down the road (God forbid) that The Beast falls into a state where you don't enjoy riding it...would you still want to live with it on your person constantly? It could be a case of whenever someone says something like "Why do you have that awful ride on you"...and you would have to explain every time that you got the tattoo back when the ride was good...it could get old. Just a liitle advice from a admitted pessimist/realist.
sam2cpa
Dave Canterbury, co-star of the show Dual Survival, has as tattoo of paw prints on his back. Here is the link: http://www.wildernessoutfittersarchery.com/DSC05735.JPG
Browntggrr
I would absolutely LOVE to see the prints come back. Hey Don: Make it happen! Remembering stuff like that gets me all nostalgic....

I have a lot of good memories from it and every time I'd see it it would be a nice reminder. I'm getting it on my ankle and I doubt people would really recognize it where I will be moving to next year so the questions will not even be an issue. I always think things through before I do something like this. Plus if someone said that Beast is awful, they haven't rode it in the right seats nor at night. Response from an Optimist. Shaggy
If I may offer some advice... Be aware that a "Paw-print" tattoo of that sort is linked to an alternative lifestyle type. In the gay community, there's a classification of a certain type of gay man known as a "bear." Many gay "bears" get paw-print tattoos to signify to other's their personal preference. The paw-print they use is often indistinguishable from the same prints used for The Beast. Not trying to sway you in any way, just trying to alert you to the fact that many people may see them and assume something far different than a love for a rollercoaster. Shaggy *Disclaimer* - my comments above were not made to dissuade or entice. They should not be mis-construed as a comment - pro or con - on any alternative lifestyle. Unwanted Tattoos are simple to get rid of nowadays. www.wreckingbalm.com As for regret, those kind of people shouldn't get them in the first place. Many, many reasons behind getting Tattoos and they vary from person to person. Those that end up regretting them, only got them to follow the crowd. As for the comment about some Gays getting this typo of Tattoo, so what. Samoans love Tribal Ink, doesn't mean every White boy with an arm band belongs to a Samoan tribe. As for regret, those kind of people shouldn't get them in the first place. ... Those that end up regretting them, only got them to follow the crowd. That is not a fair statement. Some things are out of a person's control. A few of the people I know got tattoos of music artists they liked...then. Back around 1983 one of my friends loved The Police, he thought Sting was great...so he has The Synchronicity stripes with Sting's name over them. Within' a year The Police broke up and Sting went on to make (in his & my opionion) very boring music...he now dreads looking at it. How do you think someone running around with a (pre-murder suspect) O.J. Simpson tattoo might feel? I would venture to say that you yourself could think back 10-15 years about something you loved then, but now have little or no interest at all. Like I said, I can appreciate a GOOD tattoo...if someone wants one more power to them. I'm sure TrainedBeast has given it a lot of thought and she knows what's she's doing and I am also not trying to change her mind...just trying to give her food for thought. Now I gotta go look up the hidden meaning of some tattoos.
sam2cpa
It seems that there are a lot of places that sell temporary tattoos that are in the shape of a smalll paw print for about .15 to .20 each. There are many different colors and some different shapes. I have seen people have them on the faces for sporting events for their favorite team and such. So, for $10 you could get 50 or so. No mess, no hassle, no pain. It will be here today, and gone next week. If you don't like it, move it to a different spot, or change the color. For $10 buck you cannot go wrong. A friend of mine got one on his leg and is now puts coverup make-up on it when ever he goes golfing or is at the country club pool with the corporate big wigs. He regrets ever having got it. The Interpreter
Some of us have tattoos given us by medical doctors, and will, of necessity, have them for life. Although I am very happy to be alive to complain about the process, getting tatooed was not a pleasurable experience. Perhaps an artist would be more skilled than a doc at such things. Do be aware that SOME people DO still make assumptions about tattooed people. I've even had to explain mine to some company docs...who really should have understood them! Now I gotta go look up the hidden meaning of some tattoos. My artist recommends WB and I have personally seen it's results. However, individual results do of course vary. They also have products that can cover them up. Getting a Tat of something silly like a band is never a smart thing. Makes as much sense as putting ones husband or wife's name, lol. Most people get ink that means something to them on a personal level. Something that will forever define their life. I will admit there is a LOT of ink out there that will be regretted. However, most of it is bought by people whom will only ever have one or two pieces to begin with. Yes, people should really think long and hard about that ink before they commit to it. Myself, 13 pieces and counting, I see a design that looks cool to me and get it done. I have had them so long I can forget they are even there and you can't miss them. Of course one of them gets lots of attention, yet people never ask what it means, they just assume. I'm fine with that, I didn't get it for them and really do not care what they think. Do be aware that SOME people DO still make assumptions about tattooed people. I've even had to explain mine to some company docs...who really should have understood them! My experiences, with pieces on both arms and my upper back, were quite good. The largest piece on my right arm was by far the least comfortable, but I wouldn't call it "painful." It's just a different kind of sensation.

74Gibson
I love being a pessimist. It rewards me happiness all the time. See, I expect everything to go wrong and be horrible (all the time) and I keep getting pleasantly surprised I'm a very positive person but very pessimistic. Dieseltech20
I love being a pessimist. It rewards me happiness all the time. Exactly, too many people expect the best and get let down far too often. Being a pessimist makes the positive outcomes that much more rewarding. I'm not a total killjoy though, quite the opposite and am always there to cheer up the Optimist when their hopes are dashed It's the not hiding my feelings and telling people exactly what I think about something that gets me in trouble. I am often a victim of speak first, think later

Cody
Like shaggy pointed out, be very aware that a "bear type or beast type paw print" tattoo is a gay mans tattoo. Most of my friends that happen to be bears, have a paw print tattoo. So if you go to the pool and someone recognizes it and starts hitting on you or even tell you to get away from their children its most likely they think you're gay because of the tattoo. I'll upload a picture of The Beast's paws that was on the old pictures. those are much nicer.
Dieseltech20
It has already been established that the OP is a WOMAN. I doubt she has to worry about gay men thinking she is a gay man As for the Tattoo, first I have ever heard about the gay connection. On a good note, most any good/established artist, will be aware of this fact and inform any perspective client of it before performing the work.
