Do any of you know weird or funny facts about PKI. It is not funny to me anymore but when i tell people that PKI has smurf berry ice cream they seem to almost laugh every time. If you know any please tell.

I have been Told that in the VERY VERY early stages of Planning Kings Island was Suppose to be Themed to Hanna-Barbera the whole park not just one kiddie land theme to HB ,But the park was suppose to themed to HB!

Why do People Laught about SmurfBerry Icecream? The Smurfs are Making a Huge come back ya know.

Smurfs are making a comeback but has far as whyt people laugh lets face to some people smurfs/smurf things are funny. ( I still watch the smurfs).

Welcome to PKIU...Yeah I watch the Smurfs too, Iam a Cartoon Buff! Did you Know that KI always wanted a Castle themed ride for the Enchanted Voyage Building thats why we now have Scooby Doo and the Haunted Castle.

yea i know jason. i work with him

he is actually in one of the pictures from dry run day. he is dispatching a train at racer. im in one pic too, im driving monster.

Weird fact? Taft broadcasting (the owners before Paramount) bought 1600 acres of land for expansion.

Im the one who got Jason to work at PKI, give him rides to the park, and make sure hes behaving himself (not an easy task). You can thank me later.

**Oh and for those of you who know Jason and dont know this, he is recuperating this week from surgury. He had to have dental surgury to get rid of his wisdom teeth.

Bryan, where do I see these pictures from dry run day? I must know!

Racer '03-'04

There are links to the pics on home page of the site. If this is the same dude that was running the FORWARD racer on Sunday, you were doing a perfect job at getting both forward and backward trains to race! You were on par perfectly with the girl driving the backwards racers! Even in the cold weather, looked like you guys were having a blast at doing what you were doing! Mad props guys!

I just remembered a sort of weird fact. PKI had the biggest Christmas tree ever (Winterfest)

Wow. That's amazing. I never would've guessed PKI had the biggest.

It is not there anymore it was just a one time thing.

Does anyone know hieght requirements on the costers?

Reptar, Racer, Adventure Express, Ghoster Coaster and Beastie (by yourself): 44"

Beast, and I think Top Gun and Vortex: 48"

All the rest: 54"

Ghoster Coaster is 36" accompianed by, 44" to ride alone.

SOB is 48" not 54"

those are the only things I saw wrong.

PKI used to have the largest hanging plant near the other old cars entrance (the closed down one). Its been quite awhile since I have seen it there but it used to be there.

True, and it was a Kodac Photo op too.

The hanging basket is still there. Right after you leave The Vortex heading towards The Beast and Tomb Raider.

Another odd Fact, The Brady Bunch taped an episode there and it also guest starred former Cincy Reds cather Johnny Bench.

The hanging plant is still there? I sure don't remember it being there last season...I remember noticing that it was gone.

The park has over 700 acres of land, and we have enough space left that we can double the size of the theme park without a problem.
