Frequencies?

Featured Replies

My guess is that those are the radio frequencies that the park uses to communicate to managers and security. The walkie-talkies they use have like 8 channels, so there would be a lot. Plus, the park has its own fire and police squad, so you need communication for them.

I'd tell you what people do over the radios, but then I'd have to kill you. But then Sparky, Drew and pretty much everyone above me in the rides department would kill me soon afterwards.

I just hope people don't clog up the radios. The radios are there to pass information beetween employees. Just think what would happen if they needed to get hold of the ambulenc and somekids were playing around on the radio. If they were just scanners I guess that would be ok. Just remember they have frequencies for a reason.

They call them sacnners for a reason. All they do is scan and let you listen in on what is happening. You need a transceiver to actually broadcast, but be forewarned, if you are broadcasting on a frequency already owned by one agency and registered with the FCC, you are gonna pay big time. the penalties aren't light, and yes the FCC does drive around, and will do so by request, and can pinpoint your exact transmission location, and they don't need a seach warrant to confiscate anything you have that they want, regarding to transmitting and electronic signal.

i was searching for amusement park laws in indiana and i came accross this site. it tells all the parks frequencies. what's that about? at first i thought radio frequencies but really i have no idea what this site is talking about. anyone know? huh.gif (PKI is about 3/4 of the way down)

Perusing Indiana amusement park laws, eh? Fellow Hoosier?

People accidently communicate on PKI radio channels through those motorala walkie-talkies that you can buy at the store all the time. If you do use these stations, the communications switch-board people will inform you to stop using the station and why. I've never heard of anyone refusing to stop.
