lopan Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 I was in line for for DB the last day and the 2 guys in front of me were clearly some kind of maintenance workers(they kept talking about random coworkers working on various rides etc.) and i heard them say that DB only runs if the temp is over 40 degrees. Dalefan Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 I think that they meant in the mornings. They didn't open DB for ert Sunday till after 12 pm i believe. Those guys could of been ride ops too. The ride ops know that stuff as well. 2 Quote

If the temp does fall below 40 after a couple hours of operation the ride can still function unless the temp falls below 30. This is just what I have heard. 2 Quote

teenageninja Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 The fluids would not be as viscous at low temperatures. Therefore the wheels would not be as lubricated and would need more force to overcome the friction. 1 Quote
DeLorean Rider Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 Far as I know it's always been about temperature during startup. Once the ride is running it shouldn't matter. Always been the case with the other coasters, not sure why Diamondback would be different. 1 Quote
