Guest TombraiderTy
I was sent this link by a family member today and thought other members might be interested in it. CincySavers.com is having a special today (11/17/11) in collaboration with CincyShirts.com. You can purchase a $25 gift card to CincyShirts (the price of one t-shirt) for only $12.50. The website has several dozen Cincinnati-related t-shirt designs, including several ones that directly reference Kings Island, Coney Island, Americana or other local amusement parks. Here are just a few examples: There's also shirts referencing the Reds, Cincinnati Zoo and more. The CincySavers.com coupon is HERE, plus you can save a few extra bucks with 15% off after following CincyShirts.com's Twitter HERE. Including shipping, I spent a total of $17.01 on a shirt- not a bad deal, saying how unique the product is. P.S. Just to make sure everyone is aware, the shirts simply reference the park's and the area's defunct/vintage attractions... The Bat shirt is not actually a thirty-year-old shirt from when the roller coaster opened in 1981
standbyme
Nice find! The King Cobra one is tempting me!
TombRaiderFTW
Oh my gosh. I want one so bad.
XGatorHead 8904
Thanks for the link! A few of those shirts are VERY tempting. Demon... my first inversion. The Bat... my first suspended. King Cobra... my first stand up. Too hard to choose! If my grandma wore t-shirts, I'd get her the "Ready for a Dip at Chester Park" one for Christmas, since that's the local amusement park she went to as a girl. (And I had forgotten all about Showbiz Pizza Place until I saw the shirt on that site).
kingsrattler
^ and ^^^ I've always wondered (going to show my age, or lack thereof) were King Cobra's seats more comfortable than b&m's man-hating seats? I wasn't tall enough to ride it before it go removed
XGatorHead 8904
Not really. It was basically a bicycle seat right there. You had to really watch for the bunny hops at the end! If you were situated the wrong way... OUCH!!! I always stood on my toes for that part of the ride!
kingsrattler
^In which lies the problem why i'm so uncomfortable on the b & m version. I spend so much time pushing up with my legs my calves and knees hurt afterward, which is a very unenjoyable experience when you have to walk around for another 8 hours. SonofBaconator
Major bump but I think KI should sell some shirts like these with old rides/logos on them.
