kingsrattler
Yes, to start out the season, Kings Island said that WindSeeker and Vortex were going to be what was used for ERT, which caused an uproar. The fact that WindSeeker was not open for the first month the park was open, also put a damper on that.
Snowman
^Not to mention ERT for Vortex probably had something to do with breaking the old girl's lift chain.
markr
I liked Vortex during its first few years as it was a nice, smooth ride. I very rarely ride it now as it has just gotten too rough. It seems like arrow loopers just don't age well. For example, when I rode Great American Scream machine at Six Flags Great Adventure a few years ago, I thought I was going to get whiplash around the rough turns. VortexBFForever
I remember watching Vortex for literally ten minutes at once during my very first trip in '07. It looked so intriguing (and it still is now). I didn't ride it until 2010, and when I did, I instantly LOOOVED it! It has been my favorite ride ever since. (no, roughness doesn't bother me at all. I actually really love rides with this type of "personality". )
Original
Maybe they will re-make the sign above the entrance on Vortex for it's 25th anniversary (with some new 25th ann. trains) Have a good 25 more years Vortex! Maybe they will re-make the sign above the entrance on Vortex for it's 25th anniversary (with some new 25th ann. trains) Have a good 25 more years Vortex! But then their going to have to buy new trains every year for the 26th year, 27th, and so on!
