Airguy06
How often do breakdowns happen at PKI? Another question is at the end of last season, WWC, and the backwards racer was closed. Does anyone know why?
teenageninja
Breakdowns are happening all the time. No one can give you a specific answer because you didn't ask a specific question. WWC it's too cold too run and isn't worth it, and recaR was getting new track if I remember right.
SOB/Gun Steve-O
Sure, SOB breaks down every... **gasp**heavy breathing**gagging sounds**severe pain in chest**screams and writhes in pain**falls to floor unconcious**wakes up in hospital bed**sees boss standing over me with pink slip**boss then holds up copy of lawsuit against me** Sorry to be graphic, but we're under a strict gag order about these sorts of things. DeLorean Rider
Honestly though, over half of the time a ride is down, even the ride ops dont know whats wrong. We just tell mantinence what happened and they just tell us to wait untill they call us to open. Please dont be upset with the operators when a ride is down. We cant help it. DeliriumDreamer
I was waiting for someone to make a post about this. Delirium broke down twice on Saturday, and even I don't know why. All I knew was that we weren't allowed to let anyone in until the ride came back up. The line to wait in line went all the way to Drop Zone. Chris Pansing and I were astonished at how loyal our guests really are.
coasterdime
I am astonished at how pi$$ed guests get when a ride goes down. On Sunday, Racer was down for a few minutes. The ride op was telling those on the platform that it would be a short delay. She joked that "it wouldn't take an hour or anyhing." People then went down the ramp, angrily telling those in line, "It'll be down for an hour!" The line before the platform clears, and minutes later, the ride was rolling again. Just then, as the next train was unloading, there was a problem with a restraint. The ride mechanics were called back. As they approached the stranded rider, a scary woman screamed, "This is starting to pi$$ me off!" I could be a ride op for about 4 minutes before losing my cool.... stephenmayes
Nah, You just given them a smile and send them on their way. The thing I tell myself is that they paid good money to come to the park. If they want to ruin their day by getting ticked off at something that no one can control then they can go ahead and do that. I am not going to let them ruin my day. PKI Punk
I am astonished at how pi$$ed guests get when a ride goes down. I agree. As I said in one of my TR's, when TR:TR broke down about two weeks ago, the people who were stuck on the ride with me were yelling and complaining, and the wanted a free gift. I just thought they were stupid and enjoyed the extra time on TR:TR.
Scooby_Doo
Just like Sh*t happens... Breakdowns happen. People shouldnt get mad every major theme or amusement park has break downs on there rides.
DeliriumDreamer
Hakuna Matata peoples. Chill out. My suggestion, when a ride breaks down, and you desperately want to ride it, wait the extra time, or come back. Please don't take it out on anyone, most of the time, these things just happen. It's nobody's fault.(unless you watched that CSI last thursday, and that wouldn't happen at pki anyway. our security is too tight)
beastdude
Like many people have said before it only depends on what day you go. A ride could not break down for months and then break down 7 times each day for a week. ( Just exzagerating) you don't know anything till it happens.
