rcs Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 This banner is now up on Camden Park's website. Does anyone else think this looks like a Delirum type ride? Quote
slitthythroat Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 my vision would be that it is on a half pipe track and spins and goes back and forth, but now that i look at the picture more, you could be correct. I dont think this is worth ditching the hot cat for :/ Quote
Gordon Bombay Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 Looks like a small zamperla Delirium-esque ride. You can see the support to the left of the photograph. Camden Park is my favorite park of all time. Quote
rcs Posted April 25, 2012 Author Posted April 25, 2012 I had planned on going on opening day, but I think now I'll wait to the new ride opens before making the trip up there. Quote
KIBeast Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 I think that this will be a great addition to Camden. I am going to apply for a job there tomorrow. Wish me luck! Quote
Diamondback96 Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 At first I thought it was a Drop Tower, but then I saw the support. Quote
jandyb79 Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 It's really nice to see my old stomping grounds of Camden Park getting a new attraction! I have much love for this park! I'll be visiting this summer Quote
thunderbeast1968 Posted May 6, 2012 Posted May 6, 2012 According to the website, it looks to open around July 4th. Quote
KIBeast Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 I got the job and I am working in food. I started Sunday at Boardwalk Cafe and today, I was in the Sugar Shop. Who knows where I'll be on Thursday. I like it a lot! It's just fun to be around all those kids and watching the fun that they are experiencing. It's going to be even better when I finally get to take my family on a trip there. I know my boys will love it. Quote
westcoaster Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 So I guess all the conspiracy theorists is that Camden will stay and no to WALMART, or they would not have made a major investment: Quote
KIBeast Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 Camden floods really badly, so I don't think Wal-Mart is interested. Quote
jonnyvelvetrock Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 Hello all, I must admit, I have been a lurker on this site for about a year and finally decided to join! I live in the Huntington W.V. area and travel to Kings Island and Cedar Point often! As a child, I have fond memories of my Grandparents taking all the kids to Camden Park. I would hate to see a big corporation like Walmart buy them out. As for the new ride, it looks like a smaller version of Delirium. I found a video here: http://www.herald-di...to-get-new-ride Quote
Coaster.Rider.Kings Island Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 I rode it, it is pretty much a smaller Delirium, but it still delivers the same g- forces and effects as Delirium. 1 Quote
