thunderbeast1968
Thank you for sharing the story. I kind of thought at first, that it sold for 5,000 dollars, sounded fishy. I mean I could to afford to own it. I know, there are many others monies that need to be raised to dismantled and pieces properly marked for reassembly, moved, then rebuilt and so on. But only 5gs Wow!! I would love to see this go to a smaller park that needs a good coaster, and a nostalgic look and feel. Dollywood comes to mind. TheCrypt
We should all raise money to save the Big Dipper! In all seriousness, the Big Dipper was really fun. I went to Geauga Lake once with my family, and I remember marathoning the Big Dipper over and over and over and over again with my sister. That was the only memory I have of Geauga Lake, other than walking across the lake on a wooden walkway (I have no idea when this was--could've been under SIX, Premier, or FUN. I don't know!). I hope someone can breathe life into it again, it's a classic and iconic roller coaster with many memories.
