stashua123
OMG!! what a good day alright lets start. So we arrived at KI at 1:50 and went through the front gate. Our first ride was Adventure Express. Very jerky and i dont like it but the themes were working , 7.5/10 .we rode it 2 more times after that . We then headed to viking fury. Really good ride and nice airtime,8.5/10.Then we headed to Diamondback. A good ride with a lot of airtime!10/10.We then headed to Firehawk it was a nice ride with a lot of g-forces,9.5/10. By the time i got off Firehawk i was getting fatigued(100oF heat )So we went to festhaus to cool off and it was pretty nice in the A/C. We watched the end of british invasion and it was pretty good. We then decided to headed to congo falls to cool off and it was pretty good but they really need to put seatbelts on it,8.5/10. After riding congo falls 2 times we then headed to flight deck on the way there my mom called and said there were 80 mph. wind thunderstorms coming and so we ran to flight deck to get ahead of it. We got on flight deck and it was a really good ride,8.5/10. The clouds were turning very dark blue clouds were coming so we headed to the arcade to hideout i played the crane game. It was so windy out a light broke on coney mall and branches were every where. We decided after 20 min. to head to festhaus in the downpouring rain it was a really nice way to cool down but by the time we got there (we took the long way )we were drenched. we waited at festhaus for 20 min. for the rain to light up and it did so we headed to Kings Island theater to watched the circus. It was terrible because even though it is ment for children it has adult themes(the dancers)and we left halfway.one person cried(the star of the show) because he thought he killed an employee and the host had to find a replacement. By the time we left it was not raining anymore so we headed to The Racer (blue side)and it opened after 20 min. of waiting and we rode it it was good 9.5/10 but..................... We stopped at the brake run and thought we were going to move but we just sat there. Finnally they annouce"were experiencing minor technical dificulties. Please remain calm"OMG are we stuck? they sent employees and told us the sitiuation and after 15 min of staying stuck they annouced"were going to evacuate the train"whhhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaattttttt? They had to manually realese the lap bars and by that time my legs were getting numb After 30 min. we finnally got off but here comes the twist. We have to sign legal papers before exiting. We had to tell them were we live and our zip code. So we as compensation got escorted to Diamondback and got to ride in the front seat but heres something... I met the person whos ridden Diamondback 6,941 times wow i got to ride with him and while we were in line on The Beast we talked about coasters it turns out hes an american coaster enthusist and has ridden all the rides around the country. He talked about voyage and how insane it is and when we began to talk about Son of Beast he gave me some inside info about how there trying to find what to do with it and they have been choosing between texas giant treatment, new wood or they might use timberliners. Also it turns out the accident of 2006 was not in the rose bowl but right after the loop he explained that the small straight track after the loop was made out of bad wood and every time it would go over that it would cause a lot of stress over the structure and at 2006 it sank a liitle which caused a bump and cause injuries to the riders. I also found out by him that there building a B&M giga coaster near the area of SOB. When we got on beast he told me about insane coaster wars and how they used his Diamondback shirt on the show and how he got interviwed on the show and it was a really good ride especially because i got to ride with him 11/10. Afterwords we got some rivertown fries and headed to Firehawk it was awesome esspecially in the dark.11/10.Afterwords the fireworks went off and it was nice.We then got to the front gate and left at 10:30p.m . A really good day 10/10 Thanks for reading -Stash

Titan
Eh, I'd probably believe the guy in the black polo shirt before him. But at least you identified your source, so I give you kudos for that.
stashua123
he also rode Diamondback 76 times today!
TombRaiderFTW
Cool trip report. Thanks for sharing. Just one thing, though: your friend may have been mistaken about Son of Beast. The State of Ohio's 2006 accident report clearly states (with pictures) that the support failure was in the rose bowl towards the lowest point. Maybe he was referring to the helix as a "loop"? (It's what Six Flags over Georgia would do, anyway. )
The Interpreter
I believe you mean Six Flags Great America. Where is this helix loop at SFOG? Raging Bull I know about.
Bennett
I also found out by him that there building a B&M giga coaster near the area of SOB. Perhaps he got his info from this guy.
kblanken
The third loop on Mindbender.
The Interpreter
I believe that the SOP for that ride calls that helix a horizontal loop, which it is, not an inversion. Far more honest than what Six Flags built up Raging Bull as. Well, I guess it was bull. Never have I been so disappointed in any other coaster. TheCrypt
The OP could have been referring to Gary Coleman. But why would the park give him inside information, and why would the state lie/give false information (willingly/accidentally) about the accident? stashua123
The OP could have been referring to Gary Coleman. But why would the park give him inside information, and why would the state lie/give false information (willingly/accidentally) about the accident? He said that he knew some empolyees but he dosent know anthing other than that.He said he has close ties to the park because of his record

bkroz
I just wonder how they'll fit an Intamin strata-coaster, a giga-coaster by an unnamed manufacturer, and a B&M coaster in the area around Son of Beast (since of course, we also know thanks to inside sources that Son of Beast will be torn down / burned while simultaneously being re-done in Iron Horse track)... It'll be especially hard with Congo Falls being expanded into a full, Jungle-Cruise-esque ride (we heard that one, didn't we?) and Flight Deck getting extra track so it'll be longer. And the sources of information range from construction workers in hard-hats walking the track to men in suits; guys in black polos to food cart workers. Everyone knows it all, and we're getting one of everything! Huzzah! Thanks, Oprah! And thanks to all these informed people passing on information for us.
