I know that there is a "What's next for Son of Beast?" discussion but I have a question regarding Son of Beast and I was wondering If anyone on KIC knew the answer.......

What did Kings Island do with the old Son of Beast crate sign, that was at the entrance of the ride?

I'd guess it was trashed. If the ride ever re-opens, building a new wooden crate would be about the least expensive aspect of the effort.

Why guess that? Wasn't it reused as a Haunt sign?

The park seldom trashes things like that.

It was. Seems like a big thing to transport to a storage facility, though. Makes sense that it might be somewhere though.

They should put it on the walk of fame or something as a tribute to SOB if they still have the crate. Hey, who knows, it might be used in a haunted house during HAUNT.

When the ride shut down the park quit paying the guy that was inside the box (who jumped around to make it shake and growled a lot) so he took his box and went home.

No, not really, but it would make a good new rumor!

It had quit that some time before. Perhaps when Jeff went to Texas.

I have seen the box. I was at the park earlier last week and saw a bunch of suits and asked then that exact question. They took me on a back lot tour and showed it to me.

The box is in bad shape. Boards are missing. Many are warped. It does not look useable.

I pestered the suits a bit. I kept asking if the box will be used again. Their final comment was: "No decision has been made. There is nothing else to talk about."

BTW- I never asked about SoB. There was no reason to since the box is SBNO, SoB's status obviously has not changed.

Why is there reason to believe you, when everything about Son of Beast is to be taken with a grain of salt?

B: Trashed

C: Stored in a haunt/material store house
