BB Cabana Rentals

For those of you who are at the park frequently (I haven't made it YET this year!!), I was just wondering how the cabana rentals in BB seem to be going. Are a big percentage of them rented often? (How many of them are there?).

I read recently that CP is doing a similar thing at Soak City this year. Personally, I think it's a fantastic idea. It seems like a great way to increase per-capita spending without a lot of investment. (Like sky boxes in stadiums & arenas.) Granted, the majority of people probably won't want to drop $60/day, but the availability is limited enough that I bet there are enough people on any given day who would want them. I think it also adds to BB's overall concept as a waterpark "resort."

Oh they go pretty quick, its like having your own locker you can fit in because they don't allow unauthorized people back there at all.

::Dane whips out pricing sheet of BB::

Half day rental (Under 4 hours) is $29.99

Entire day is (Over 4 hours) $59.99

There is a discount for Gold Pass Holders aswell. I think its $24.99 for under 4 hours and I forget what it is for full Gold Pass. Sorry sad.gif

I do believe they stopped, or are planning on stopping the half day rental simply due to the amount of time it takes to change out a cabana leaving not enough time for the second group to have the full 4 hours or so to enjoy.

Remember, all servers, pool-side, cabanas, and bar except tips. If you like the service, be kind enough to leave a dollar or two.

Definitely!! I would certainly hope that someone wouldn't rent a cabana then stiff the server. (But, I work in the hospitality business...of course people do stuff like that.)

As far as service goes...is it one of those deals where you leave a credit card, then just sign for things as you order them? That would seem the most convenient (for the guest and the park). Although, those situations can be dangerous <g>. More than once at a Disney hotel my incidentals charged to the room have far exceeded the actual cost of lodging <G>.

I assume there's information on pki.com about how to reserve a cabana? I'm finally getting some time off to hit the park for the first time this season, and I plan on enjoying the "resort" to its fullest! :-)

Here's what you get with a cabana rental:

1) Private Cabana

2) Free Dasani bottled water

3) Stocked Dasani fridge full of contour pop and snacks (candy and chips)

--You pay for these items as you use them

4) Plus lounge side waiter service where you can order beverages from the bar (either alcoholic or non) or you can order food from Dundee's Outback Shack. Whatever you order will be brought out to you in a only a few minutes since our fabulous new system includes wireless POS (point of sales) which print the order inside as its being rung in.

The way the tab works is that you give the person you credit card, they swipe it through the wireless POS (not piece of sh*t) and "Autherize" the card. This will save your card where the server will print out a reciept for you to sign and include tip (if desired) and return to the server. The server then enters the tip but does not close out the entire card, thus leaving it open to charged to again for future orders. This tab system can also be done at the bar but they require you to stay at the bar and close out if you have to get up, otherwise you will still be charged and a preset percentage tip will be added.

Half day rentals, as far as I am aware of, are not going anywhere anytime soon. However, when we take reservations, we only take them for full day rentals. For the person who asked about reservations, cabana reservations can be made by calling (513) 754-5776. Remember, reservations are made for full days only.

Most of the features of the cabanas were mentioned, but I'll mention some more.

--Up to six people can be in one cabana

--2 Lounge Chairs complete with a lockbox under the chair

--Chairside service (without service charge)

--Use of towels

-- Everything else mentioned

Two expensive and very tacky looking with the Dasani' covers...Very cheap way for PKI to make a quick buck

Cheap, eh? I wholeheartedly disagree. What all do you get at the cabana that you normally would have to buy?

Two Lockboxes to lock stuff-- BB Locker Price-- 5 each

Dry towels, that generally you'd have to buy-- 9.99 saved per towel

Not having to find a lounge chair-- A nice convenience

Cabana Hosts who work their best to serve our guests-- Yet another convenience

Want something from Dundee's Shack? Seaside Supplies? We'll try our best to get it for you-- yet another convenience

Lack of the dollar service charge associated with the pool area-- yet another convenience

There are many, many more conveniences that I could go about, I'm sorry that you feel it is expensive, but there is a lot more than certain "amenities." And also, the vinyl cabanas do look tacky, but anything else would have been a cleaning nightmare. Also if you have any suggestions about how to make our DaSani ® Cabana Village better, let us know. We want to make it the best service possible, and suggestions are appreciated.

Peoples reading comprehension on these boards needs to increase so much it's not even funny. He meant letting Dasani sponsor those ugly looking covers on the Cabanas is a cheap way of making a buck, because it is, they're ugly and have no feel to the "theme of the waterpark anyway.

If I read correctly he mentioned that it was "too expensive". I was responding to that, not the sponsorship. Sorry that I tied cheap and expensive together with the post, but I was definitely responding to something relevant in his quote.

I think the place looks nice compared to last year .

all there was in those areas was grass and brown plank fence.

and PKI is in this to make money any business is .

Just don't put your hand or foot on the wall face when your riding the flowrider

or they'll kick you out of the park . I can't understand that either the whole thing is a wall and your riding on the surface of a sheet of water traveling 30 mph

and if you fall over your first instink is to put you hand out to cushion your fall

and if you touch the wall your kicked out .
