Hank Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 I received an email from KI today about a one day "Christmas In July" type sale on one day tickets for the park. No big deal, BUT - near the bottom of the page, therre is a pic of the train in winter with snow on the ground. Is this a foreshadowing of something? http://parkfeedback.com/read/archive?id=4673&e=rybaczewski%40ameritech%2enet&x=09cf04d1 Quote
Browntggrr Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 ^ Without looking into it too much.... It appears SoB will be getting a different track during the offseason. 11 Quote
BB1 Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 If they were to test out Winterfest one last time (which I hope they could, with many other area attractions closing it would be a prime time for it to return.) with some of the old props (which I believe they sold a few Christmas tree toppers in the last years) and some new light displays, I would surely go to it! Browntggrr Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 Winterfest has too many loose ends (biggest one being uncertain weather) to make such a large investment. Combine that with the amount of work needed to remove all the FF decorations, put up Christmas decorations & still have to do off-season rehab to all the rides, it is too much too fast with a BIG question marks when it comes to revenue. 1 Quote

Thrill_Biscuit Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 Quick! Somebody photoshop the 'Captain Picard' facepalm with a Santa Claus hat. Ready..... go! 1 Quote
ObiPugs Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 Also at Christmas you get presents. Could this mean they're about to give us a present besides cheap tickets?????? Quote
Outdoor Man Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 the image on the email is surely just clipart relative to Christmas that park has of their own... and doesn't have to pay a third party for. However, with a new CEO at the helm I could see it as a future consideration- very doubtful that December 2012 would qualify as "future" though (i have been wrong before though). 1 Quote
SonofBaconator Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 They're just marketing a deal for $29.99 for a daily admission. It's not really an actual christmas thing. I doubt its a winterfest teaser. Quote
lopan Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 Or an old pic from when they did have winterfest 2 Quote
