July 24, 201214 yr Four parks were owned by Paramount that were bought by Cedar Fair: Kings Island, Kings Dominion, Carowinds and Canada's Wonderland. Of those four, which park benefitted the most from the ownership change?
July 24, 201214 yr Really? Paramount's Great America was owned by whom? And who bought it? Must have been Marriott and Six Flags
July 25, 201214 yr I would say Canada's Wonderland. The park under paramount had several roller coasters but no major ones that people came for. Just like KI before Diamondback, except CW didn't have The Beast and their best coaster was Vortex, thats like the best and biggest ride at KI being Flight Deck. Now the park has broken the 200' barrier and two rides over 300' in under 5 seasons and they are both amazing coasters.
July 25, 201214 yr All the above becuase if they wern't bought they problay woudn't be open today. A world without KI .
July 26, 201214 yr Well, I would say Carowinds, due to the Intimadator, and some of the newer rides. No comment on the others.
July 26, 201214 yr Is it just me, or does Canada's Wonderland progressively become more of a destination park (in terms of attendance) nearly every season?
July 26, 201214 yr . A world without KI . Well, then we'd have Cedar Point, Holiday World, Indiana Beach, The Beach, among other regional parks with which to entertain us.
July 27, 201214 yr KI had more goods than bads under the paramount era. They added 7 rollercoasters and many flat rides. It wins by far in the paramount era because it benifited by being the Flagship Park of Paramount Parks
July 27, 201214 yr Edit to note - replying to the "world without KI" discussion a couple of posts up And you might even have a Kentucky Kingdom, Americana, or a Davey Crockett Land. Without the one, many things would be different.
