CoasterOhio
Should Kings Island start raising the limits of Coasters and add a B&M WingRider to the Park? Or maybe get the first KI Giga Coaster. I for one say possibly to get a WingRider or Giga.

McSalsa
While Wing Riders can be awesome rides, and I would like one, with Cedar Point getting one in 2013, I don't see Kings Island getting one anytime soon- it would look way, way too "cookie cutter" to add 2 of these to 2 Cedar Fair parks in the same state- possibly even with similar layouts- would feed the "Kings Island IS BECOMING Cedar Point SOUTH!!!" crowd way too much. (Then again they do have a decent point- while the parks are still quite different, since 2009, we have added a huge steel coaster, changed our kids area to Planet Snoopy- the same name as a kids area at CP, added a WindSeeker, added Dinosaurs Alive!- which CP now has too, albeit on a smaller scale- and renamed our water park...Soak City...) A 4D is also out of the question, as that one would "one-up" Cedar Point's wing rider...now, Ouimet is not Kinzel, but I'm still not sure he'd be 100% up for building a brand new ride at CP and then building an even better one at Kings Island the next year... I propose one of these instead: -New Wooden Coaster (GG, GCII, or Intamin Plug N' Play) -Floorless Coaster (CP does not have one, and I don't think there are any ANYWHERE around here) -Inverted Coaster (Raptor opened in 1994...Kings Island should be OK to one-up it now since several other parks already have...they may be outdated by now, but Inverted Coasters are still great rides, and KI could use one) -Giga Coaster (B&M or Intamin...BUT, be sure to give it a unique layout, so that it isn't too similar to Millennium Force or Diamondback...an Intimidator 305 style coaster would probably work, since that's all the way in Virginia...) That's just my two cents...in final: while a wing rider would be fun, with CP getting one, I don't think it's the right move for KI and would like to see one of the 4 rides I listed above instead for KI's next coaster.
LongliveKingsCobra
While I would love one, I agree. Too close to CP (However one could use the WindSeeker argument here) I, too, would enjoy an Inverted or Floorless Roller coaster with a very unique lay out. I don't want cookie cutters. I want new, sleek crazy designs!
CoasterOhio
KI used to have King Cobra as a Floorless Don't they still have it around the park or did finally someone buy it?
LongliveKingsCobra
King Cobra was a Stand-Up roller coaster. It was dismantled due to inferior steel...
TheCrypt
Ouimet's a smart man. He knows the clientele for each park, and he knows what they want. At Knott's Berry Farm, you need to have rides that fit the theme, you want to have thrill rides (but not too much to send the balance between thrill and family out of whack), and probably most important, you want to keep the heritage alive. WindSeeker is a good example of this. Instead of having the white/blue color scheme, it utilizes an orange/yellowish scheme to fit the Fiesta area of the park. Its sign is also different, and highlights the Mexican roots of the area. I feel like Matthew Ouimet is not afraid of having another park "1-Up" Cedar Point. After all, he isn't the Man of Nickels. I would expect more unique things to come to sister parks' way, because he doesn't think Cedar Point is the greatest park in the world and he doesn't think it shouldn't be outdone. flightoffear1996
I know this is wishful thinking but hear me out. 1)Instead of acting as one entire company why not run each place as its own. If park A makes X amount of money they get to reinvest that in their park and not put the money they made into the pot so to say. This could lead to some inter-company competion and could only mean good things for all the parks.
The Interpreter
Gee, the Six Flags model (with a COO from Paramount Parks, a former GM at PKI). Imagine that.
TTD-120-420
After riding Wild Eagle, I would say no. It didn't do much for me. Just average.
TheCrypt
^I think the fact it's a B&M is what killed the thrill. I mean, B&M has large, graceful transitions, while companies like Intamin or GGI have sharp turns and steep dives. If it was a company like Intamin who made Wing Riders, your opinion would likely have changed.
The Interpreter
Yep. It probably wouldn't have been open much of the day he was there! Terp, half kidding.
