September 2, 201213 yr Does the sign shop still exsist at Kings Island? I just heard about it a few days ago...Could someone tell me more about it?
September 2, 201213 yr Yes the legend is true, there is an sign shop, it is visible from the walkabout and it is rumored to hold many past signs (Maybe where our beloved BB items/signs are? We may never know)
September 3, 201213 yr Author Yes the legend is true, there is an sign shop, it is visible from the walkabout and it is rumored to hold many past signs (Maybe where our beloved BB items/signs are? We may never know) I also saw pictures of a Sign Shop tour on KICentral.com from a few years back. I'm sure maybe some peices from boomerang bay are in there....Maybe SOB's sign......The Beast 30th anniversary sign..... Any former KI employees want to chime in?
September 3, 201213 yr Also its the 25th anniversary sign, and I dont believe any KI KIC members are at liberty to say that Information.
September 3, 201213 yr Really? Why not? Pictures were encouraged and posted on the web. Among other things, there was a 25th Anniversary Beast Sign.
September 3, 201213 yr Also its the 20th anniversary sign, and I dont believe any KI KIC members are at liberty to say that Information. As opposed to what, Dorney Park KIC members?
September 3, 201213 yr Author Really? Why not? Pictures were encouraged and posted on the web. Among other things, there was a 25th Anniversary Beast Sign. I accidently messed up the year of Kings Island's 40th anniversary and The Beast's 30th. I was talking about The Beast's 30th anniversary sign that said "30 Years Of Terror".
September 3, 201213 yr There are many ways a sign could be represented for The Beast. From the sign in the plaza, to decals / 3 dimensional objects placed on the train, to the banner in the station. Which are you talking about (I'm unfamiliar with the 30 / 25 marketing details)?
September 3, 201213 yr I wish Kings Island would have a behind the scenes Sign Shop/HH props tour, it would bring alot of nastalgia to many past era fans. (And yes I do know of the KIC SS day, I was lingering on the forums at times)
September 4, 201213 yr I also saw pictures of a Sign Shop tour on KICentral.com from a few years back. I'm sure maybe some peices from boomerang bay are in there....Maybe SOB's sign......The Beast 30th anniversary sign..... Any former KI employees want to chime in? Yes there is a sign shop.
September 4, 201213 yr I was on the kic sign shop tour a few years back. It is contained in a portion of one of the metal sided buildings behind Surf Dog. There were various signs from past attractions on the walls, as well as then- under construction 'tombstones' for Haunt. Aside from the signs on the walls, which def brought back some memories, there really wasn't much to see. if you're interested, email Don and see if he'll post some pics of the signs.
September 4, 201213 yr I wish Kings Island would have a behind the scenes Sign Shop/HH props tour, it would bring alot of nastalgia to many past era fans. I had the pleasure of taking a tour of the sign shop years ago during the first KIC day. It was pretty cool. In glad the keep some of that stuff around.

Would Kings Island possibly consider another sign tour?
September 5, 201213 yr As I recall, the Kic day cost 20.00, but it was well worth the price. It began at 8 Am on a Saturday and included a sign shop tour, Flight of Fear behind the scenes tour (which was orig going to be an SOB behind the scenes tour but was moved), a Beast behind the scenes tour, a scavenger hunt for prizes, a dinner of hotdogs and burgers and Coke in the IR and nighttime ert on Beast. Ryan (Boddah) organized it with Don and turnout was pretty large--about 40-50 I think signed up. Considering the park charged $25 just for a Beast tour earlier this year, my guess is a similar event as was had before would cost more than $20. E-mail Don to gauge the Park's interest in doing this again, then someone here can take the lead in organizing if Don gives the go ahead.
