Colonel_SoB_fan Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Why not? Would a retheme really change the ride? The theme is not the reason for all it's awards Quote

jcgoble3 Posted October 20, 2012 Author Posted October 20, 2012 They also tweeted this: Not dropping any hints here - one of our 2013 projects is already underway for park-goers to see. EDIT: They also confirm here that this is where the dive show was. Quote
TTD-120-420 Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 I really hope the new trains on the Voyage come next year. 1 Quote
DiamondBack27 Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 I would also love to see a Steel Coaster on the skyline in the next 2 years! I would really love a coaster like DB or Kraken! Quote
coasterfanatic83 Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Personally I wouldn't want to see a steel coaster at Holiday World. I feel like it would ruin the atmosphere of the park, since it is known for woodies. A B&M roar seems out of place to me. Quote
CoastersRZ Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Who is to say it would be a B&M if they got a steel coaster? There are lots of other steel coaster manufacturers out there. 3 Quote
jcgoble3 Posted October 22, 2012 Author Posted October 22, 2012 If you want to be one of the first to find out, you better stay up late tonight. The video announcement will go live on HW's YouTube channel "probably" at around 2:00 am (I assume Central Time) tomorrow morning, at the same time the press release is emailed to the news media so that everything's available for the morning news. TombRaiderFTW Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Hoo boy. Last time something got announced at 2 in the morning, there was some Pointed roaring on Facebook. Really hope Holiday World isn't getting Dinosaurs Alive... 2 Quote

TTD-120-420 Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 I'll probably still be up writing a paper that I haven't started yet. 4 Quote

DiamondBack27 Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 But I don't think it would be a new ride, because they just built two this year Sparkler, and Mammoth. Quote

Nope it is due at 11:35 sharp tomorrow. And it is only a rough draft. Well, you work on that and try not to be distracted too much by the HW announcement. I'll be on tomorrow, most likely not until afternoon. Good night! Quote
TTD-120-420 Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 It is one in the morning and it isn't up. Quote
FOFreak Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 If it does not come up at 2, I'm going to be quite upset.. lol 1 Quote
kblanken Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 Holiday World: "Please remember, we are on Central Daylight Time, which is the same at Evansville, Nashville (Tennessee), Chicago and St. Louis. That's an hour behind Indianapolis, Terre Haute, Louisville, Cincinnati and New York." That would be 3 for us. Quote
TTD-120-420 Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 I'm not gonna stay up any longer. I have ran out of papers to write. Nighty night everybody! Quote
kblanken Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 http://www.holidayworld.com/holiblog/theme-cool-2013 10 new things! (Giraffica) Quote
The Interpreter Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 But I don't think it would be a new ride, because they just built two this year Sparkler, and Mammoth. Surprise! (It's not *A* new ride, though. Holiday World loves surpriseS!). Quote
McSalsa Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 Well, wow...this is far, far more than I was expecting...Splashin' Safari gets even better next year with RHINO Blaster (great slide name!), and they just got Mammoth to boot...a new teacup ride for Holiday World...new shows...Pilgrims Plunge getting re-named Giraffica (not the best name ever, but neither was its old one, so...), a after-dark light show...new dive show stadium...and the price tag isn't as extreme as I expected at $6.5 million, either... Consider me suprised...and impressed. Holiday World really seems to know what they're doing...here's their cool new for 2013 youtube video... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ocLKj8pYNW4&feature=youtu.be Holiday World, please, keep being this awesome for years to come... 1 Quote
The Interpreter Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 And I will submit that had the Bluegrass Boardwalk fiasco continued... 1 Quote
