November 28, 201213 yr Hey guys, I've just got a quick question reguarding posting pictures in a forum. I've tried multiple ways but no matter what i do it wont let me post my pictures directly to the forum page. I've tried using flickr, imageshack, and photobucket but each time it won't let me use those websites. I've just been resorting to posting a link to the page on the forum. How do you do it? Hope you can answer, DBI
November 28, 201213 yr TombRaiderFTW was nice enough to write a guide on how to post photos: http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?/topic/26752-tutorial-how-to-upload-photos/ To make it work, you have to use the direct link to the image, not the link to the page containing the picture. There's an example in the guide above.
November 28, 201213 yr Author Hmmmm.... lets try again http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8337/8226198986_f692828b4a.jpg' alt='8226198986_f692828b4a.jpg'> KI 2013 Park Map According to KICentral by KitchenSlayer, on Flickr[/img]
November 28, 201213 yr Here's your photo: You'd put this part of your code you were trying in the "Image Properties" box: http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8337/8226198986_f692828b4a.jpg
November 28, 201213 yr Author Ohhh okay i got it now thanks! Is there any way to delete this post? its pretty much useless now...
November 28, 201213 yr Admins are the ones in charge of thread deletion. That being said, this thread is useful in my opinion--I never covered how to post Flickr photos on here in my tutorial.
November 28, 201213 yr Ohhh okay i got it now thanks! Is there any way to delete this post? its pretty much useless now... A mod could delete it. Another option would be to totally change every post in the thread. If you change the topic to something else, and have malem, TombRaiderFTW, and both of us post something different by editing our posts, we could recycle it into a whole new thread.
November 28, 201213 yr After you type out a post, click "More Reply Options" to preview it before posting. That way, you can see if everything looks right in advance. For the record, the "BB code" to type for an image is [img]http://link-to-image.jpg[/img] - but you should be using the image toolbar button in the post editor to avoid having to type this out. The forum software enforces that all image links end in a proper file extension like jpg, jpeg, gif, etc. This means that image sites with image URL's in an alternate form will not work on KICentral for direct posting. Pick another image site if this is happening to you. EDIT: Another option would be to totally change every post in the thread. If you change the topic to something else, and have malem, TombRaiderFTW, and both of us post something different by editing our posts, we could recycle it into a whole new thread. 100% recycled bits!
November 28, 201213 yr I agree with malem. No Vortex, WindSeeker or crypt? Dbinternational did u do this because there is a possibility that Vortex will be removed, the obscure rumors that WindSeeker will be gone soon to do technical issues and the crypt already gone?!!!!?! Good work:)
November 28, 201213 yr Author You got it! But what i think is funny is the fact that you didnt even realize thunder alley was gone. haha i guess nobody really cares about that ride
November 28, 201213 yr The Crypt.. Son of Beast... Vortex... WindSeeker... Thunder Alley... 5 rides gone in two years? Why do I get the feeling this is a diversion? I understand now. That is not the actual 2013 map. You honestly had me convinced that it was. If anyone wants to face palm me, I accept my fate. Edited November 28, 201213 yr by diamondhawk
December 26, 201213 yr You can't use HTML to do it with the img in brackets, the link, and then /img in brackets?
December 27, 201213 yr It works on my Iphone when I type the: img`] with the image file location between the brackets. Ipads work the same way I believe.
December 27, 201213 yr Can even upload pictures from an iPad using the Photobucket app (I'm sure there are others, this is just the one I use.)
December 27, 201213 yr How do you post pics on kic from iPads? Minis in particular... I recently learned using Photobucket with my iPhone you can upload your pic, then copy the "IMG code" & paste it directly to the "reply box" and it works perfectly. I don't see why an iPad or iPad mini would be any different.
November 9, 201312 yr Any one else on here having trouble posting pictures? ....... When I try to paste in the image code in the "image properties" box and then press "OK" nothing happens. The "image properties" box stays open and wont leave the screen to let me finish my post.....
November 9, 201312 yr I just tested it and it works fine for me (though I typically type the code manually). Are you pasting in full [ IMG ] [/ IMG ] code or just a URL? That box only takes a URL; IMG code should be pasted directly into the main edit box.

November 11, 201312 yr I just tested it and it works fine for me (though I typically type the code manually). Are you pasting in full [ IMG ] [/ IMG ] code or just a URL? That box only takes a URL; IMG code should be pasted directly into the main edit box. I was using a URL. What browser are you using? I was using Internet Explorer, the newest version of it, but I switched to Safari today.....Which was taking a small step out of my normal comfort zone.....But I can post pictures on KIC with Safari now!
November 12, 201312 yr Internet Exploder 11 is known to not play nice with forums. There are known issues both here and on a XenForo forum I frequent with the quote button not working with IE 11, and this sounds like a similar, related issue. It's not a bug on IE's end, but rather an incompatibility on the forum's end that requires the forum admins to get and apply a software update to fix. The XenForo fix has been released, but I don't know if the IP.Board developers have released a fix yet. Once it is released, we have to wait for Dane to install it on the server. On another note, Safari for Windows should not be used. It is significantly out of date and is no longer updated or supported by Apple. I recommend Chrome or Firefox for an IE alternative.
