KI FANATIC 37 Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 I feel like a kid that just saw "santa" downstairs... 11
PKIVortex Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Could the record be the most hanging/inverted track in one park? I wouldn't put it pass them, look at the Kings Dominion World Record last year! Does any other park have 4 coasters that hang from the track?
YoungStud Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 IT is going into the immelman first like alpengeist then the loop to schrub off speed. I would rather have a 200' tall lift directly into a massive loop. 1
kirbias1 Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 I think this will be the highest and fastest inverted. I doubt it will be the longest. 1
locostitch Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Guys if you look at the scale ratio this should be about 5000 to 6000 ft long
Joncars05 Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Because I'm sure a major amuesment park like Kings Island can't even spell correctly on their blueprints...last I checked it was spelled vicinity not vacinity...just sayin... They made a typo/grammatical error on their original teaser posters. (See the sticker changing the entire last line on the poster?) Why couldn't they misspell "vicinity"? Not saying that the blueprints are real but just saying typos can happen. 2
DontWantToWait42mar0 Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Been a member for a while and I like to just sit back and watch the crazy talk happen. Did anyone else notice that the press release cards with the comb had a "date" sticker covering up a different date? I wonder what the original date was? Why was it changed? Also, before it was mentioned that a write up about a Banshee stated that the only way to defeat her is to break the comb, where in the write up was that? I could not find that. No date sticker was placed on the tag. No dates were changed. I thought it was a possible nod to how KI used stickers to cover up the spelling error on the warning signs placed on the wooden fences. edit: the sign I'm reffering can be seen in the post above mine; helpfull coincidence.
kirbias1 Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Guys if you look at the scale ratio this should be about 5000 to 6000 ft long How can you tell just from video?
sheikra_rocks Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Hopefully b&m messes up on a calculation I HIGHLY doubt that. Now if it was an Intamin, I would believe it! *cough*shoot the rapids boat didn't fit*cough* 4
locostitch Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 The record for length is only 4,086.4'. Exactly why I think this will break the 5, 000 barrier. Kings Island has the money why not build the ride to where it is so massive other parks can't afford it just so they keep the records.
kirbias1 Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 The record for length is only 4,086.4'. I hope it is the longest too! There are a lot of long stretches of track that are hard to decode.
YoungStud Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 plus there will not be many more inverts being built.
Gravyboat Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 It's guesstimatable. You also have to account for elevation changes and loops. Guys if you look at the scale ratio this should be about 5000 to 6000 ft longHow can you tell just from video?
locostitch Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Guys if you look at the scale ratio this should be about 5000 to 6000 ft longHow can you tell just from video? If you look at the board it was on and then do some rough geometry calculations you find the length of track drawn the cobvert by ysing the scale
locostitch Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Alsi has anyone seen like when going down the drop it looks like it rotates 180 degrees and goes into the first inversion upside down. Also there could be camelback hills
Diamondback FOF Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Gonna go out on a limb here... 8 inversions. Possibly 9. Seems far fetched and unlikely but that's what it looked like to me... As far as hoping CF wouldn't have a leak this time, I agree with that butttt these REALLY look to be hanging up in an office/trailer and (at first) sitting on a desk, like someone snuck in/recorded something they shouldn't. 1
Bennett Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Those are legit...looks like a fun ride. I'm gonna bet that the lift hill is 200+ feet, with a nearly as high loop with the lift hill going thru it. Can't wait! That said, with the shenanigans that happened here a little while back, I'm not real comfortable having that linked on this site...I can only hope that it wasn't one of us who got into the trailer.

YoungStud Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 chicken head was pretty accurate IMO. drop immelman loop zero g batwing loop zero g maybe a corkscrew.
locostitch Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 chicken head was pretty accurate IMO. drop immelman loop zero g batwing loop zero g maybe a corkscrew. So are you satisfied even though it ain't intamin

This one appears to be the same so the loop may be around 110' or so if its a little larger.
YoungStud Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 maybe kingsislandPR will come on here to shut down the rumor?
sheikra_rocks Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 plus there will not be many more inverts being built. Do you mean in general, or right now? Designers build what the parks want. If a park calls B&M up and says, "We want this, this, and this, in an inverted coaster and only have X amount of room, can you do it?" B&M's response would likely be, "Our Batman model fits that description." If a park calls B&M and asks for a stand up, they will build it.
YoungStud Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 bro, there is not that many parks than don't have one left.
ohiocolts Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 I would love to see the lift through the loop. Something I used to always do an RCT3. 1
millenniumforce327 Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 OK we've guessed the height, speed, length, and figured out the elements and inversions... What do you think this will cost with the dismantling of SOB and everything?
