Holding Shelves on WWC

When I went to the park the other day they had shelves for WWC, but they warned us that anybody could come up and steal stuff and they wouldn't be responsible. My thought was isn't that the same for the bins? Even though the bins are locked up during your ride. The person sitting 2 seats behind me could easily steal my bag from the bin without the ride ops noticing. Just a thought.

Which is why I have never, ever, EVER left anything in a storage bin on any ride, at any time, at any park.

ill leave a drink cup, but i dont llke doing it. Its agravating crawing accross the car then get back it and it feels like your being rushed to buckle in. I rigged up a wat to attach it to my shoes lol

personally, I won't leave anything of great value. If I can, I'll leave my souvenir cup.. and that's about it. I can't believe that people with actually leave purses and stuff at the station.

I think all of the KI straws are clear.. but I also have a souvenir cup from KD, and those straws are red.

I will not leave anything of value in the bins or on shelves. I'll leave a souvenir cup, or a backpack containing swim trunks, a towel, and sunscreen if I haven't had time to take it back out to the car yet. But that's it.

On opening day at Diamondback, when I was told that I couldn't ride with my camera bag, containing a $250 camera, despite it being securely strapped to my waist, I asked the supervisor on the mic to personally and physically hold it for me, which she had no problem with. Now if I bring my camera to the park, I leave it in the trunk of my car if I even think I might ride Diamondback (or Firehawk) before my next trip out to my car.

I leave my bag that has sunscreen, extra clothes, etc on it. But I hardly ever leave anything valuable like my phone or my wallet. I always keep those with me. I do secure my cup to my bag though when I put it in the bin, that way it doesn't get switched.

In the past I've left my iPod 5, phone, money, and a sweatshirt (weather permitting) in a bag in one of the bins at the station. I've had no problems with it thus far, but my friend had her iPhone stolen at the park which makes me think twice about the iPod.

I can understand why some people bring a change of clothes and medicine into the park. But what I can't understand is why people bring in all kinds of other things, ipods, phones, expensive cameras (not talking about you jgoble3 I know you take some great shots), etc. when all they do is sit in the bag half of the time. It amuses me about how people get ticked when someone drops their phone off a ride, it gets stolen, etc. There's a risk if you take something on the ride of it falling and breaking, and there's a risk that something may get stolen if you don't secure it in a locker or in the car, the park isn't responsible.

When I bring the older kids I take on occasion to the park I tell them if you leave it outside a locker or my S.U.V, expect it to get stolen! The only thing of mine those bins have are my flip-flops and swim trunks, steal them if you can handle the smell (flip-flops!) My feet stank.

Blue Fire (gazprom) at Europapark has a pretty cool system for their storage. As you go to board the train, several locker style doors pneumatically open. You put your stuff in. When the ride is dispatched, the pneumatic doors close, and the next set of doors open. When you disembark you go through the exit and are on the back side of the storage lockers. They too have pneumatic doors that open up.

So automatically only one train has access to the "stuff"

Holiday World has the best system IMO with free lockers in the coaster and water ride stations. Put your stuff in a locker (or have a ride op do it for you), and take the key with you on the ride. Simple and effective.

Side note about Diamondbacks bins! They just installed locks on them so only your train can access your bin.

I bring my Ipod and headphones when I'm at the park by myself. It's always fun to have a good soundtrack for coaster riding. It also helps to drown out the annoying sound of bouncing basketballs, or tweens having inappropriate conversations while in line.

I've learned just to carry a waterproof wallety thing attached by a crampon onto my belt. Just my card, and money, and a few smokes.

I used to carry a backpack, and looking back, don't know why. There's a freedom in having so little to cart about.

My hair gets messed up every fifteen minutes, why bother to carry a comb?
