Gabe Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 That's changed then since I was there last in April. I hope the Magic Band rollout happens soon. I dont think it will be as bad as some are saying. Disney keeps saying it wont supersede the regular fastpass, just that you can make advance reservations for 3 attractions. Just a way to spread more people around the park evenly. Quote
RailRider Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 Yes I was there in July and folks were eating in all 3 main dinning areas of BoG. Still not sure how I feel about the new FastPass system, big fan of what they have and it has always worked great for us. 2 Quote
Gabe Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 same for me, but Disney isnt dumb enough to kill the goose that laid the golden egg. I dont forsee the Magicband replacing fastpass. Now, for purchases and restaurant reservations, it's great! Sync w your smartphone or a kiosk at the park and voila--off you go. Quote
XGatorHead 8904 Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 When we went in July, we purposely didn't eat breakfast, then went to Be Our Guest very soon after they opened for lunch. We got right in with no wait. All rooms were open, so of course we chose to eat in the West Wing. When we left, there was quite a line to get in, so our planning worked well. 4 Quote
Colonel_SoB_fan Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Disney has released an night time POV. 6 Quote
RailRider Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Love how this ride is coming together. 3 Quote

RailRider Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 The whole ride looks great and I think the mine scene will surely make up for the removal of the former Snow White ride. So excited to be riding this in December at Disney! 4 Quote
Thrill_Biscuit Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 The 1950s-era silhouette people looked amused! Seriously, though, it looks like a fun, family ride. Quote
Colonel_SoB_fan Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 I'm not sure if an official date is set. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I547 using Tapatalk Quote
RailRider Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 I believe the media event is April 30th, they may have potential soft openings prior to that date. 1 Quote
Colonel_SoB_fan Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Knowing Disney there will be many soft openings before the official open. Cast members will probably get it to themselves one night or morning before opening. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I547 using Tapatalk 2 Quote
Colonel_SoB_fan Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Now an look at the queue. http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2014/04/all-in-the-details-jewel-sorting-more-inside-seven-dwarfs-mine-train-queue-at-magic-kingdom-park/ Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I547 using Tapatalk Quote

Gabe Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 I will keep an eye out for it to be included in the FP+ selections if it officially opens before my trip. On a side note, I noticed that the Frozen meet n greet at the MK is now a FP+ option, but not surprisngly, was all out of advance reservations for each day I'm there. 1 Quote

Screaming_Chicken Posted May 1, 2014 Author Posted May 1, 2014 That's looking awesome! I really hope I get to ride it soon! Quote
Colonel_SoB_fan Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 It reminds me of Expedition Everest meets Splash Mountain. http://www.themeparktourist.com/news/20140501/17766/video-take-ride-walt-disney-worlds-seven-dwarfs-mine-train Quote
jdawg1998 Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Is that the actual, full POV? It seems really short. Looks fun, though. And you're right - it looks a lot like Expedition Everest. Quote
Colonel_SoB_fan Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Not the full POV but as much as Disney will release for now. Media day is tomorrow. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S4 Active using Tapatalk Quote

Gabe Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Plenty of time for soft openings. Hoping for some rides when I'm there next Thurs-Sun! Quote
calakapepe Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Definitely a ride for little kids, that's for sure! Quote
Colonel_SoB_fan Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 I can't speak for myself but I know I look forward to enjoying it on my next trip. I'm well beyond a little kid. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S4 Active using Tapatalk 5 Quote
Gabe Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Agreed! it looks like a tweener coaster between Barnstormer and BTMR. For those visiting the park 5/28 or after, FP + is now available to book for the ride. However, their website has been seeing huge traffic, so be patient if doing so. 2 Quote
Voicetek Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 I love rides like this. I was one of the first people in line for Ariel's Undersea Adventure when I was in the park last year and I'm a 33 year old male. My wife and I are going back down in October and if we make it to the Magic Kingdom, I'll be happily waiting to ride this one as well! 2 Quote

On my trips, I always allot about 40-50% of my time just to MK That's like going to Goldstar or Skyline and ordering a salad! 3 Quote
