nhimes90
I have an eerie feeling that geaugafan2013 will be reading this thread! I laughed Last year when I worked at KI there were a lot of ghost stories that everyone would tell/listen to. Well I worked at Nickelodeon Universe Store and we had a ghost named amy, or amber or something like that. But there would be days we left the store a mess and we would come in the next day and it would be spotless. Also she was a picky ghost she liked the store to be clean. One time it rained and there was a crap load of people in the store messing it up, so we shut the doors cause it was so full you couldn't move. Well she got angry and all of a sudden the doors flew open and the lights flickered and everyone freaked and left. It was freaky and we always just blamed the ghost. Or I don't know, maybe there was a cleaning crew who came in the morning? And who knows, maybe the wind blew the doors open. I've seen the wind from a storm blow open a door before. I do believe there are some unexplained things that happen in the world, but every little thing cannot instantly be attributed to "ghosts". They say the house I moved into here in Wisconsin is haunted, but every story I've heard about it so far I've seen happen, and found what caused it. iChase
This doesnt exactly pertain to KI but i found these cool videos on Youtube. This is a video of a possible fallen angel. http://youtube.com/watch?v=XnH9OJP6FTk This is a video of a girl that gets picked up only to later crash he car. Enjoy! I love how many people actually think these videos are real. I always get a laugh when there is a big fuss over video which is clearly fake. EDIT: Might as well post my KI haunt info. http://ghostpic.ytmnd.com/ That's pretty creepy. Especially the file size.
Justin_M17
Ghosts at KI? No. Just no. You see, I like realism. And there is no proof that a person is able to do anything after death other than becoming worm food. I refuse to believe in ghosts. These videos on youtube and articles on wherever are nothing more than a bunch of morons seeking attention and trying to get it by creating a fake video. UncleHenry
Ghosts? Probably not. Unexplainable events? Sure. It's good to be skeptical, but don't rule everything out. Some things we just can't explain yet.

The Interpreter
Ghosts do what they want to do...if'n they do anything at all. Some in Aurora, Ohio hope they haunt the nights in the Kinzel house, but I doubt they do!

Justin_M17
I'm not going to continue with these arguments anymore. Bottom line: I don't believe ghosts exist. And unless one walks up to me and makes an attempt at shaking my hand, I'm unlikely to ever believe they exist. No amount of arguing on your part will change that. EDIT: Well, it seems that my address has been deleted by forces unknown, so that last sentence really made no sense

iChase
^No no, not by any means, and likewise I'm sorry if I upset you. It's really just like debating politics or religion. Everyone has widely differing points of view on them all and no one is necessarily right or wrong.
MrsBloom
My mother was a manager for the food/games back in the 80's and there was a lot of injuries/ deaths back then. The Bat closed after someone fell from the ride, and The Beast's breaks went out and an incoming car collided with a car at the station. I have lived in Mason since 1980, which is where King's Island is located. I got a job there on rides in the late 90's. What is true... A woman fell out of Flight Commander according to all news reports she was drunk. 2 People died in the pond, one fell in and someone tried to save him and was electrocuted. There have been numerous accidents in the park, it's not the park is unsafe; much to the contrary, the employees in the park have to follow very specific rules. There is a cemetery and it sits right next to the park, it is over grown though. The deaths that have happened in the park were no less than traumatic. Even though I have spent plenty of time there, especially as a teenager, I have never seen anything. I know that when I started working there there was rumors of hazing new employees... leaving them overnight in the area of the park where The Beast is located in the woods. Lucky for me I was pregnant, and no one expected me to do it. There was a book written about The Beast in particular... The Beast by R.L. Stine, it is fiction. Kings Island here is a place that it is best not to be alone at night, it does feel creepy. As far as ghost goes, I believe in them, but I will not believe it till I see it. BoddaH1994
Contrary to popular belief, nobody was ever killed or seriously injured while riding The Bat.
CoastersRZ
And that "incident" on The Beast occurred when the ride was shutting down due to weather conditions. The following year after the accident (it happened in October), the ride received an all new braking system with the fin brakes and magnetic trim brakes. The Interpreter
...and Bat closed, not due to people being injured or deaths on it, but rather due to severe maintenance and uptime issues. There are no breaks on The Beast, which is a very good thing. Ride ops who work there, though, do get breaks, which is also a very good thing. CoastersRZ
Whew! I thought there for a minute that I might have slipped up and typed the wrong 'brake' in my post. Turns out you weren`t even referring to my post, luckily!
Guest rcfreak339
Besides even if there where passengers on the trains there would have most likely been really no injurys because the trains hit each other at about 5mph....But all this brings up a funny story! I was riding The Beast during a cold cloudy day, I was having a good time like always and we just entered the tunnel right after the long brake shed area and right as we zoomed out of the tunnel our faces just become numb and really did hurt because of a downpour. Boy did we ever have a good time!
The Interpreter
Wow....you gotta love park and coaster enthusiasts! No one else would find that experience so invigorating! Terpy, among whose favorite memories are riding the Conneaut Lake Blue Streak in a sudden driving thunderstorm, riding The Beast on a cold October day when it began snowing...and riding The Georgia Cyclone on a 28 degree night when it suddenly began sleeting! Guest rcfreak339
oh yes sleet was a major factor in this event also....We really loved climbing up the slow second lift in that stuff.
BavarianBeatle
I've never had the pleasure of ricing a coaster in snow or sleet, but would love to.... I've done the sudden downpour thing though, lots of times. I told my kids this year to run for cover when I saw that gray curtain approaching..... Beast1979
Opening Day 2008. The day started out good but ended up near 40 or less degrees and raining. I waited 45 minutes for the Son of Beast, what was I thinking! It was freezing cold and right as I entered the station it started raining, the drops hit me like bee bee gun bullets and the windy cold chilled me to the bone. But I loved it! Jasper
I rode Apollo's Chariot in the rain and going 70+ MPH in the rain does not feel good but it was one of the best rides i have ever had on a coaster.
