newuser12
I'm thinking of going to Kings Island this Friday, August 30th. It looks like they open at noon, so I'd plan to go for the afternoon. Most schools should be back in school, but should I expect it to be busy from people going for the holiday weekend? Thanks!
YoungStud
I would only expect saturday to be packed. Kids are in school friday and after that it is HS football. I may go with my wife friday. We are contemplating Friday or monday.
newuser12
Any idea what I should expect for wait times on the bigger rollercoasters? I'd love to be able to walk onto rides, and anything over 30 minutes or an hour probably isn't worth it. I haven't been to the park in a while, so I'm not really sure what to expect. Yesterday was station waits for everything up till we left, which was right at 3:15 PM. The waterpark looked packed though, so I think most people were over there! malem
It looks like the waterpark is closed Friday, so that could be a factor in dry park crowds. Oddly enough, The Beach is open daily this week.
Gabe
Since all waterparks rely onhighs chool and college-aged lifeguards, staffing becomes an issue once kids go back to school. Perhaps the Beach employs more local college-aged kids, who (if they attend say OSU), don't begin classes until after Labor Day.
malem
^ OSU is on semesters now, as are most other Ohio schools that were previously on quarters. Classes have already started.
coasterfanatic83
Trust me, we have started. Caleb, who had a test in his Business Management class today. Yes, on the first Monday of classes.
