Ride On_17 Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 ^If you look at the webcams, you will see that there are 6 suspended white disks over the midway along Pipe Scream. Quote
Ride On_17 Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Something interesting that Jason McClure just tweeted... Jason McClure @JasonMcClureCP 13m With Gemini getting all the love, Frontier Trail was feeling ignored. So, there are a few changes in the works for the Trail as well. 3 Quote

The Interpreter Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Licensing for game prizes is different....you can find Snoopy prizes in some non-Cedar Fair parks. Quote
TheBEASTunchained Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Cedar Point has added light to the night in the new Gemini Midway...... The rest of the park is very lit up tonight as well...... (Image captured from Cedar Point's Gemini Midway Construction Cam) 1 Quote
thedevariouseffect Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 It's time.. i do and don't like the Monster redo..Glad to see an old great ride get some needed love However, it doesn't seem so monster-ish now.. Ah well I'll still ride the hell out of it, and probably lock a few cars and stuff too like the good old days. 1 Quote
PREMiERdrum Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 It's time.. i do and don't like the Monster redo..Glad to see an old great ride get some needed love However, it doesn't seem so monster-ish now.. Had they just used warm white LEDs instead of cool.... This little change can make a HUGE difference. Case in point: Look at the New Fantasyland "Storybook Circus" entrance marquee during the media event and then shortly after grand opening to the public. Quote

thedevariouseffect Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 Well **** those restraints are alot more open than I anticipated.. Major butt clenching for the first ride here soon 2 Quote
calakapepe Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 For real though haha, I hope there's a belt on there also haha Quote
The Interpreter Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 I'm sorry. I'd rather sit on a park bench. To me, that's more thrilling than these are. 2 Quote
jcgoble3 Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 Yeah, KI's Slingshot is the third most boring ride I've ever ridden, after Gatekeeper and SheiKra. That said, I'm wondering if the lack of a surrounding cage would increase the thrill factor. 2 Quote
calakapepe Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't.But I doubt I'll ever know as Sling Shot rides do not interest me in the slightest... unless I'm watching, they're cool to watch. 5 Quote
Ride On_17 Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 Posted this yesterday in the Random Discussion Thread but feels like it fits better here. Been watching CP's SlingShot testiing with employees! This ride is so much fun to watch and it attracts quite a crowd. It's funny to watch the workers riding it when they're launched and listening to the peoples' reactions who are watching. I also found it it's planned to open on Tuesday. It will be $25 plus an optional $20 to buy your video. But I love how this ride looks in the park and how it captivates onlookers. While I do agree that the price is steep, I will definitely try it. And again like I said before, I do love how this ride looks in the park as well as how much people love watching it run. 2 Quote
calakapepe Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 I recommend buying early when it's cheaper so that if you don't like it, you hadn't used up too much of your money Quote
malem Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 ^ The price doesn't start low at Cedar Point's existing pay-per-ride attractions (at Challenge Park). I wouldn't expect any further discounts (beyond the platinum pass 10%) here. If you want to ride it for free, my recommendation would be to try to win a Tweetup. Personally, if I were going to drop $25 at Cedar Point, it would probably not be for a SlingShot ride. 3 Quote
jbum123 Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 Rode Slingshot with my Son a few weeks ago at KI when it was cheap. While it was a fun ride for a few seconds, I surely wouldn't pay $25 for it. He loved it, I laughed, they got my money. I'm over it. 3 Quote
PhantomTheater Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 A late addition, Beach Blast! Featuring live music and fireworks on the beach. It will be every Friday and Saturday till August 16. https://twitter.com/cedarpoint/status/486171429562753024 3 Quote
The Interpreter Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 Sounds like Cedar Point needed additional attractions to make its projected numbers. Terp, just sayin' 2 Quote
