coasterrz
Yes, I believe that it was indeed Captain Caveman who chased me and the other people in my group through Hanna Barbera Land. Seems kinda cool since almost all the old School 80's stuff is coming back I miss Hanna-Barbera characters so much that I dropped $55 on Amazon.com the other day to buy old H-B cartoons. Not only are these characters (except for Scooby Doo) not present at PKI anymore, but Cartoon Network no longer features them either. That is VERY sad. No more "yabba dabba doo", no more "smarter than your average bear", no more "Captain CCAAVVVE MAANN", etc. Perhaps the youth of tomorrow will re-discover the old H-B toons and they'll come back in style like Scooby Doo did. However, I really doubt it. Happy New Year! Italian Chef
DegenRider
Invader Zim would be awesome walking around PKI or Nick central. i havent seen Invader zim on tv in a long time, i wonder what happened Zim was kicked off nick for more RUGRATS! Chef: Boomerang is placed pretty high up on my cable listings. I was hearing rumors about a jetsons movie (live action like scooby). I think what we may see is some of the more popular ones (jetsons, flinstones, yogi) will be redone again or will air again. Heck Transformers,Teenage mutant ninja turtles and heman are back. (side note) My cousins want teenage mutant ninja turtles video game. I think instead I will pick them up a NES and the game for half that (/side note) The jetsons were made not as timeless as Sooby Doo per say. They used what was current at the time. The series it self would have to be redone and updated a bit. Yogi is pretty timeless though.
coasterrz
Well, lately the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are making a comeback, so maybe some of the older cartoons can make a comeback. The Flinstones, Jetsons and Yogi Bear are classics and it is ashame that only Scooby is present in the park today. Since going to UC I haven`t caught much television, and what I have caught has not been cartoons. I will remember those days where Fred, Barney, Dino as well as Scooby could be spotted on International Street or Hanna Barbera Land. I think more Spongebob characters would be popular seeing as how popular that show has become.

Beastfreak
I have never seen an HB character at any Six Flags parks. Only WB characters such as Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and the likes. I've been to SFGAm and many of the other parks. Show me your picture and I'll believe you.
IcarusLives
I have seen Flintstone characters and Scooby at SFGAM. I don't have any pics of 'em, you can check out the Six Flags Great America site and see that rides listed in the Camp Cartoon Network area include Scooby Doo's Mystery Machine and Spacely's Sprocket Rockets Roller Coaster. http://www.sixflags.com/parks/greatamerica...des&rideid=kids http://www.sixflags.com/parks/greatamerica/kids/?id=rides While it would be nostaligic for us if PKI brought back the Smurfs and the HB characters, you gotta keep in mind that the characters aren't really there for us. Hate to bust everyone's bubble. They are for the little kids. Even when I was younger, I saw the phasing out of HB characters that my older siblings recognized but I had no clue as to who they were. I remember my siblings pointing out characters from the Hair Bear Bunch and I never recalled seeing them on TV. And as I got older, I saw characters like Caveman, Huckleberry Hound, Quick Draw, and others disappearing with only Scooby, Yogi, and Fred & Barney remaining. My money's on the Fairly Oddparents popping up this year as new characters. Edited January 1, 1970 by IcarusLives

Dino2003
I got to Thinking about this Subject why doesnt PKI have Susie from the Rugrats as a character? Iam sure we will see The Fairly Odd Parents!
Scooby_Doo
The rights to the Smurfs is (or was) held by Peyo. HB worked out a deal with Peyo to do the TV show and bring the characters to the parks. Even when the Smurfs were shown on commercials, there would be a "TM of Peyo" at the bottom of the screen. If I remember right, the Smurf characters who walked around disappeared befor Smurf's Enchanted Voyage was removed. By the way I did a Google for "Smurf Movie" and found a link to the The Lost Episode. Uhhhhh......not what I was expecting. Also, how could anyone confuse Captain Caveman with Snagglepuss? Do a Google On --Smurfs 3D movie-- you should get the Info that way!
Dino2003
Smurfs IN 3D NOW THAT WOULD BE AWSOME! is the Smurf movie gonna be 3D and not a LIVE ACTION Movie? The 3D Smurfs thingy sounds way cooler anyway whats up with that Nicktoon Pelswick? i dont think it was Popular with Kids at all it seemed to corny! i think we will see The Fairly Odd parents or Some New Spongebob Charaters!
