I watched the show too and it was pretty cool.

But graveyard Shift on the otherhand Was "Meh" I think ether bring back Ghouls Gone Wild (My little brother loved it)
thedevariouseffect
Probably a good old propane charge
CoasterFreak45
I believe it was a flash pot, like they use at the start of the night.
Coasterkidd23
What was used was likely a canon Simulator! The Youtube channel Displayfireworks1 describes it! Skip to :50 to see it at night.
GamesAndRides
Thanks Guys! Now does anyone know what they used for The Rain Like Effect?
The Interpreter
Here I thought a canon was a rule or guideline. Silly me. Shoot no cannons, please.
jbum123
I wasn't there but working with pyro on a regular basis would lead me to believe what you hears was called a concussion. It is basically black powder loaded into a mortar and ignited. You can vary the loudness by adding more or less powder. 3/4 of an ounce of powder will scare the dickens out of you in a 18K+ seat hockey arena.
jbum123
And its funny you mentioned cannon because that is exactly what we simulate with it.
thedevariouseffect
They have some computer program for the water. I watched the screen doing the effect once up in the control room area. Pretty neat effects. They had swords, pyramids, ect. all going. Very nifty system

Nick_Plummer
I have another question for Don, what program did you guys use to make the Banshee videos?
BB1
I need no translation when I know what I see. This sounds eerily similar to me smacking the water with a wet noodle, are you sure I wasn't smacking the water with a wet noodle?
BoddaH1994
The product listed is the product they use.
