Nick_Plummer Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 I don't know what the pyrotechnic was but I remember I had to leave Haunt kind of early (GF got scared >_>) and we stopped at McDonalds on the way back and we could hear it there! I watched the show too and it was pretty cool. Quote

But graveyard Shift on the otherhand Was "Meh" I think ether bring back Ghouls Gone Wild (My little brother loved it) Quote
thedevariouseffect Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 Probably a good old propane charge Quote
CoasterFreak45 Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 I believe it was a flash pot, like they use at the start of the night. Quote
Coasterkidd23 Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 What was used was likely a canon Simulator! The Youtube channel Displayfireworks1 describes it! Skip to :50 to see it at night. Quote
GamesAndRides Posted November 29, 2013 Author Posted November 29, 2013 Thanks Guys! Now does anyone know what they used for The Rain Like Effect? Quote
The Interpreter Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 Here I thought a canon was a rule or guideline. Silly me. Shoot no cannons, please. 4 Quote
jbum123 Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 I wasn't there but working with pyro on a regular basis would lead me to believe what you hears was called a concussion. It is basically black powder loaded into a mortar and ignited. You can vary the loudness by adding more or less powder. 3/4 of an ounce of powder will scare the dickens out of you in a 18K+ seat hockey arena. 2 Quote
jbum123 Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 And its funny you mentioned cannon because that is exactly what we simulate with it. Quote
thedevariouseffect Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 They have some computer program for the water. I watched the screen doing the effect once up in the control room area. Pretty neat effects. They had swords, pyramids, ect. all going. Very nifty system 1 Quote

Nick_Plummer Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 I have another question for Don, what program did you guys use to make the Banshee videos? Quote
BB1 Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 I need no translation when I know what I see. This sounds eerily similar to me smacking the water with a wet noodle, are you sure I wasn't smacking the water with a wet noodle? Quote
BoddaH1994 Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 The product listed is the product they use. Quote
