Valleyfair! has posted their operating calendar for next year and I noticed that they will be open the weekend following Halloween. Is that something that KI or other CF parks have done in the past when Halloween falls on a Thursday or Friday?

Sometimes.

They have done this in the past, and I figured with Halloween being on a Friday in 2014 they would leave the park open that extra weekend for Haunt. I wouldn't be surprised if the rest of the seasonal Cedar Fair parks do the same thing!

One year they did it, the weather was truly awful and attendance was low.

Paramount Parks frequently closed the first weekend in November. Haunt is far more popular than Fear Fest was, though.

I believe the season pass vouchers said they were valid through 10/26/14, not 11/2/14 if that's any indication. Still, we wouldn't know until the schedule is officially announced.

^ I don't know how much faith I'd put into that date. According to Don on Saturday, they don't even have the date for opening day OR Banshee's media day decided yet, though they do have them narrowed down to two possibilities each.

And schedules are subject to change even AFTER being announced.
